I called ServiceMaster because (1) they had stretched and cleaned a commercial carpet in an office space for us and (2) they were recommended by Carpet Baggers when C.B. installed new carpet for us. Our condo was empty and had been thoroughly cleaned except for the carpet. The carpet cleaner arrived within the alloted time frame but spent an hour or so on the phone on personal business so that the total appointment took over two hours. Three rooms were cleaned with two of the rooms being treated with Scotchgard. A day or two later, I returned to the empty condo. The cleaner had told me that traffic patterns would still be visible and they were. I expected it to smell nice and clean but instead it had sort of a stale odor. Prior to the carpets being cleaned the condo had a fresh smell following the overall cleaning. In general, I was disappointed in the process and the outcome.
