I like the intuitive nature of the lessons. The teacher immediately met my child where she was as a self taught guitar player and gave her the basics she was missing. He challenged her, but kept it very fun and engaging.
What is NOT to like??? The staff (first and foremost #1), the content and learning path, private lessons, group collaboration and learning how each cast member has their role/part to play. Main goal of learning not only an instrument, but team work and with a bit of flare/performance where each cast member can allow it.
My son is in the Rookies. I love that he is getting an introduction to various instruments. Also love that it is a group environment since at his age learning to work in a group is just as important as the technical/musical skills they are learning.

I did school or rock since I was sixteen now I am twenty and school of rock has been been fun to be in so I can show my talent and not feel shy or out of place. Also, I made friends with my teacher's and the people in my music group. I am so happy for the show that will happen pretty soon and more to come.
My kid loves it! He looks forward to going every week. I love that he is able to try out different instruments without having to necessarily commit. Also, we have gone on several vacations and the office assistant has been great at allowing us to move our weekly lesson to another day of the week as a makeup class. I would highly recommend.
