The quality of the 1 on 1 lessons has been fantastic and we would absolutely recommend that to friends and family. The group band lessons are fun, but sometimes there are very few kids that show up for practice, or don't enroll in the band, so I'm not sure how much they are playing together. Also, it seems like the communication between the school and the teachers needs to be improved. We showed up for the Rock 101 performance in January, and the band teacher was just hearing about the performance for the first time and was very unprepared (it was still a fun and entertaining performance!). Also, we realized that the instructor for my son's 1 on 1 was not aware that he was also in Rock 101 until 2 weeks before the performance. This should have all been communicated better.

Love the positivity and encouragement. The instructors are all great with kids and give them the confidence boost they need to push themselves to perform and to do their best. It's a very supportive environment, great for kids that may not "fit in" in other crowds/activities.
We like the combination of one on one lessons and the band so he has a goal he is working towards with his song list for the given season. All of the staff are wonderful and encouraging and the overall culture is very welcoming.
It exposes my child to different kinds of music, and teaches them how to work as a team toward a common goal. My son’s performances have been amazing. I’m so glad we signed him up!

My family loves School of Rock Oceanside! The instructors are amazing. They use positive teaching approaches, focus on growth rather than perfection, and infuse the kids with confidence. My kids have expanded their music taste, and continue to grow their technical and performance skills. Most of all, they have fun and feel cared for at SOR. Thanks for all you do!

The instructors take their students seriously. There is a high caliber of instruction and expectation, particularly for the bands.

I like the fact that the kids learn music together and are able to give each other feedback. These programs have really changed my daughters outlook on music. Her confidence has grown in the last two shows alone and I am very proud of her and all the kids in the bands! Keep up the great work!

The instructors are amazing with children. Our daughter loved that she was able to make requests about what artists or songs she wanted to learn. The front desk staff and anyone we talked to about scheduling as always helpful and easy to work with. We love School of Rock!
Of course we love getting updates after each lesson, but the confidence that this program has given my kids is what I love the most! The program fosters the courage to be vulnerable and creative in front of an audience which will benefit many aspects of their lives.
