My daughters (three ages: 19, 12, 10) have been attending School of Rock East Lansing since they opened their doors in 2019! It has been a great experience for all. I have watched my daughters grow and expand their lessons on multiple levels. They have developed skills I didn't know they were capable of! Over the years they have enjoyed attending Summer Camps, developing their music theory, expanding instrument playing, learning about new and old artists, and dabbling in songwriting. They have a blast each week meeting up with their friends and making new friends in the band setting. I am so proud every time each of my daughters walk on stage and perform for the audience. They are nervous, excited, and eager to entertain. Each of my daughters have their own level of "shyness" (some greater than others). However, the confidence and have gained never would have been possible without School of Rock. I am looking forward to another great performance at the end of this semester! Thank you School of Rock for changing lives and inspiring our community one music concert at a time!

I like how you combine lessons with band performances. I like how we get a feedback after each lesson via email from the teacher. I like how friendly, receptive to our needs and flexible the staff is. I like how student’s interests are taken into consideration in choosing his repertoire. And my son’s teacher, Julian, is absolutely awesome. Overall, the best music school my son has ever gone to.
The instructors are talented, friendly and patient. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. It often feels more like a circle of friends than a school.
My daughter loves the school so I am happy with the programs and her progress.

I love that my son is learning from a curriculum which includes popular songs that I know so when I start listening to the melody coming out of his room it really fills my heart. He learns and practices more than one song at a time. The teachers are great and the schedule is very flexible. They are really able to work around our already busy lives. My son loves going to School of Rock!

School of Rock has been great for my son. He has been attending for about 2 years now and because of his lessons, he was accepted for the percussion program for 6th grade band at school. He is ahead of the program and already excelling.
