How much the kids seem to enjoy themselves
I think that the kids were given the freedom to be themselves with encouragement to support and encourage each other teaching them teamwork with positivity and encouragement great during the summer camp our family listens to reggae not so much Jamaican style but the artist that is thrived and done such a positive movement here in America like stick figure kbong Rebolution, slightly stupid , the movement,,such great artist I just wish that School of Rock could open up their varieties of music
showing and learning about more amazing artist that way kids can see there's so much opportunity and directions to grow toward or be inspired by we appreciate you all though for sure
It’s the people for sure!! Love everything about School of Rock and the employees!
School of Rock has given my son confidence, friends and a ton of live experience. It's a great program run by great people.
So far we are quite impressed, our child has not shown this kind of enthusiasm with any other camp or extra curricular activity.
Michelle Worley does a fantastic job.
It’s so great for building confidence and having a goal to work towards
The instructors (so far we have only really worked w/ Izzy) work well to stay within the child's interest in song, genre, etc. Emilia chooses the songs she's interested in and Izzy helps her take that song to the next level.
My son loved his Green Day camp! He said he was engaged throughout the day, had wonderful instructors, and met some wonderful new friends. I’m so glad he was able to spend his day immersed in music culture instead of video games! I think this camp has really inspired him to work on his drumming skills more often.
Give the students the confidence to be a performing musician. It looks like you make sure to emphasize fun so that they want to keep coming back week to week!
Great instructors!
Michelle and her crew are amazing. My son Ari loves School of Rock
Great choices for budding musicians! Each program is well planned and the teachers are all top notch. Our son gets so much out of practicing with the bands and then performing live. It’s a perfect addiction to the lessons. 🤙
Relaxed and comfortable learning environment
The kids not only get to play their own instruments, but also ones they aren’t so familiar with, which piques their interest in other things. I highly recommend School of Rock!
We love the "community" aspect of the School of Rock. It's been a wonderful experience for my kids to meet new friends and share their love of music. They are exposed to so many different genres of music, which has made them better musicians overall. The staff at the Scottsdale location are always willing to help and they are so friendly and welcoming!
My son has truly grown with guitar lessons here and looks forward to lessons every week with Scott. We’ve been here 2.5 years and our experience has only improved over time.
I absolutely love everything about the school. The instructors are awesome... they really care about the kids. The opportunities to perform give the kids a sense of what it takes to work as a team, what it means to prepare, and sometime, how to deal with disappointment. This school not only teaches the kids that good things come with significant work, but also gives the kids a sense of success. The Scottsdale school is run by one of the most amazing people. She truly cares about the kids and gives everything she has to see the kids grow and improve. What an amazing opportunity for these kids.
Good vibes and the people! My son has been there for the last 8 years and has learned so much about music, show production and performance. At School of Rock, everyone get a chance to shine.
My instructor James Cabeke. He is terrific, He is both a very talented musician as well as an excellent instructor. I also like that he is a bass player. Most places you get a guitar player who knows a little bit about the bass. Also, the opportunity in the future to play with other musicians.
I love the teachers and the staff. They care so much about the students and teaching them how to rock. School of Rock has become family and an experience we all enjoy.
If I had two bits of feedback it would be, first, I wish songs were chosen with the student and their range in mind. It feels as though songs are first chosen with the instruments in mind and the singers second. That tends to lead to songs that are not in their range and not focusing on their talents. Secondly, it would be great if the Scottsdale students were more considered when it comes to Sugar Skulls. All the rehearsals and many of the gigs are in the Gilbert\Mesa area. With many kids in the Scottsdale area, it would be nice if rehearsals were at both studios and more considered when choosing gigs, if they aren't already. Thank You!
The teachers are fantastic and so positive.
We love Katie!!!
The programs are well designed - the combination of individual lessons, group collaboration and positive community crest’s accountability, fosters accomplishment and more than anything is fun and inclusive.
We also love the people who work at SoR. They’re amazing- from the GM, instructors and musical director to the admin staff.
It’s a pleasure to be part of this community.
The program at the School of Rock is phenomenal. For students looking to play quickly, it's structured to be hands-on and motivational. My son went from zero guitar experience to knowing multiple songs rapidly. Their program is designed for both kids who want to perform and kids who just want to take really excellent lessons from working musicians.
They are performance based, which gives children the opportunity to play music with others and for an audience.
1.) Ability to play with other people and learn and grow as a musician
a.) Where else can I show up and everything is already set-up and just start to play? If I got together with friends, It would take 15 minutes to set-up and 15 minutes to take down.
b.) Where else at my ability level would I get the opportunity to play on a stage in front of a crowd?
c.) I learn and grow from people more experienced than me.
Everyone is super friendly and the curriculum is so fun for my 8 year-old! My son has ADHD and has a hard time following instruction, but the teachers here make it so fun that he doesn't even realize he's in a learning environment!
Choices and fun
I liked everything about The SOR; I was asked to return to the office after teleworking, and well, I just wasn’t mentally prepared so when “commitments” to the AWESOME DRUM LESSONS WITH BRIDEGOR came about, I got lazy. Plain and simple…I plan to return!!
