My son has been attending SOR for five years! It has been amazing to watch his confidence soar, not only in a musical setting, but in school and all social settings. We love the one on one lessons, and when the students come together as a band, it's incredible to watch them on stage. We couldn't be happier with the program.
Flexibility, variety of content, staff, atmosphere, focus on students

- The whole place and the instructors are welcoming and non-judgmental;
- My kids love taking lessons at SOR because they feel respected and can see themselves improving. I don't think I would have been able to get one of them to take up an instrument outside of SOR, and now they love it;
- My daughter loves being in the band showcase and I was delighted she was included even though she was still a beginner;
- SOR works with families so that their kids can continue with lessons even when financial shocks disrupt household incomes; and
- our kids have made friends through SOR and love that it's outside of the school network.
We love SOR and consider it a real gem in our community.
The SOR teachers and staff are helpful, polite, patient, and great with kids. My daughter looks forward to her lessons and Rock 101 course each week. She has lots of fun and is developing a genuine love of music and music culture.

This program has been wonderful for our son! He was getting bored playing drums in individual lessons, but joining a band has reignited his passion and he is growing more confident playing in public. His 1:1 instructor is also fantastic and has been a big influence on him.
The instruction feels pretty flexible, and thus tailored to my son's skill level and interests. The emphasis on performance is great, it really keeps the kids engaged and excited. I appreciate that even in Rock 101 the kids are exposed to a good variety of music styles.

Great school, my grandson has been going for over 2 years and loves it. Good teachers and very flexible schedule. Enjoy hearing him practice songs I remember from my younger years.
