We love the the program of School of Rock Williamsburg and cherish its enormous contribution to both our kids over the years, first Rahm and then Mia: The fun, the learning, the team-playing skills and the love of music. It's been a joy to see them grow and find their passion with SoR.
One thing we've been thinking of lately is that maybe the 8-17 age range might be a bit too wide, both skill and maturity wise, on stage and off, during the rehearsal period. For the purpose of retaining older students, it may be worth considering breaking this into two age groups (for example 8-12, 13-17).

We love watching our child grow musically and confidently in areas such as performing, friendships and academics. School of Rock has exceeded our expectations in several different ways. It’s a great school for kids who love music, performing and working with peers.

This place is a 10 out of 10, school of rock builds a community that is unmatched by anything I've known. The instructors know what they are doing and are happy to help kids learn their instruments. All of the instructors that I have had the pleasure of meeting have always shown that they are proud and know I will succeed, for example: Timmy, Madison, Mike, kit, and a lot of others are just so nice and kind to me and everyone who is in the building.
The options to have both group lessons and private lessons. As well as performance practice that lead to actual performances is unique and awesome.

Being part of a group each season has not only helped my child make amazing friendships but also fosters team work and communication with others.
