What do you like about our products and services?

I like the consistency of the teaching at CPY, and that the classes are always such a positive yet relaxing part of my day. Additionally, my practice has progressed so much farther than I thought possible because of the amazing staff.

What do you like about our products and services?

I convinced at least 6 ladies to get corepower memberships, and I have been heavily and voluntarily advertising corepower all over the place. I have been guiding those friends of mine through the classes they take, and giving them tips about how to improve their performance.

I am a sculpt fan.
I like not having time to think about the next move, and just going with the sequence and the music. After a good class, I feel like I have conquered the world, done my cardio, worked my muscles, stretched my whole body and meditated. All in one hour (or 75 mins). It's an awesome feeling.

I think the instructor's expertise makes a huge difference; a very well put together class with great (with a solid beat) music and movement structure goes by much faster while pushing the muscles even further towards fatigue.
An average instructor goes by just the basics, and a long round of squats with no variations and a song from back street boys or savage garden 20 years ago gets so boring sometimes, I get bored even before I get tired and I don't perform very well.

Here are some of my more specific thoughts/comments:

-Some new students have no idea what they are doing (understandably). They have no time to think about the poses, as they are just trying to get through the moves. I think the instructors should put more emphasis on how their knees and backs should look.

*I sometimes see people's knees in such weird shapes, I am sure they could get injured very easily. The instructors barely mention how their knees should stand.
*During warrior II, some people's knees go way past their toes and it looks excruciating.
*Also when they are doing squats with their feet apart, as they are going down their knees turn to each other and almost touch. When I don't pay attention to my knees they hurt a lot, and I am sure these weird stances must cause pain for them which they'll think because of sculpt in general but it's not.
*Another critical area I think is their back. Some people over arch their backs, especially when they are in chair pose, or plank pose, I see their backs super arched, and they must be getting terrible back aches afterwards...

-We always do right side first for Sun B. Doesn't that create any imbalances? Wouldn't be it be better maybe to start from the left sometimes? Because towards the end of the sequence with weights, we get more and more tired, and we can't always perform as well as we did on the first side? Just a question/thought...

-Another thing is, when counting, if the instructor counts off beat, it makes it a little weird.. At one moment the class may be all synced, going with a great energy all together, but when the count becomes off beat, that energy inevitable is lost.
Some instructors (like Darby and Monica, there also was an Amy 5 months or so ago she was also great) do a great job of aligning the music and sequence perfectly, the whole class is always together. It creates a great energy. Even if I feel like I can't go on, I just keep going with that energy.

-Have you guys ever thought of incorporating candle pose? I personally like to do it right before happy baby every time. Might be a good and easy addition...

-When some classes are very full, the humidity gets to be too much even if the heat is ok. I think if the instructors open the windows or doors for a bit(not constantly) it really helps.

What do you like about our products and services?

Classes are both physical and mental, I get everything out of the 60 minutes that I need.

I wish CPY would have more special sessions like arm inversion workshops, or a special class with assists, or just mix it up a little bit to keep things interesting. I love all the classes, but variety is always appreciated. In addition, would love to see a C3 class added in Chicago. Becky M would be awesome to lead that class!

What do you like about our products and services?

I really enjoy CorePower Lincoln Park. I recently moved to the area (used to go to the Gold Coast Location) and it is great to be able to walk there and I like the studio.
The one thing that I sort of struggle with is that there are SO many yoga sculpt classes. Probably bc it really caters to the college and young professional. I am a 31 year old mother and enjoy both sculpt and vinyasa. It has been good to get out of my element and I feel great having done the sculpt 3-4 days a week (6 am class) but I wish 1 or 2 mornings could be Level II Vinyasa. Or even if the 9:30 class weren't all sculpt.
Otherwise I love it and def. tell anyone about it.

Really like the instructors -- they challenge you and mix things up so every class doesn't feel the same. It's also a welcoming environment to people of all skill levels.

CPY Lincoln Park has a great community feel to it! The studio is clean and there is always a good selection of clothes in the front. Biggest downfall (which isn't even a CPY issue) is the stairs to the locker room!
