Thorough and friendly service
Robin was exceptional. He took the time to explain his finding in detail and worked through late in the evening on our report so that we could have a chance to review it before removing our subjects the next day. Additionally everyone we interacted with over the phone were extremely professional and polite which helped reassure us. Thank you!

L'attitude et les compétences manifestes d'Alain Audet. Bien que comme la plupart des inspecteurs, il soit d'approche plutôt difficile et peu souriant, nous avons aimé le fait qu'il relevait les problèmes de l'immeuble ET nous expliquait les solutions. Fort heureusement, il n'y avait aucun problème majeur.
Quand nous avons vendu notre dernière propriété, les acheteurs avaient fait affaire avec vous. C'était Jeffrey qui était l'inspecteur et nous avions également beaucoup aimé son attitude et ses compétences. En plus, il était plus avenant et souriant.

I really liked the Inspector. I think the energy audit is a cash grab.
I told the inspector we have an upstairs that is too hot to sleep in during the summer and so cold in the winter that there is ice forming on the windows. I told him we need more insulation in the attic. He told me they were limited in what they could inspect because of the Covid outbreak. He did an air pressure test and was finished. Insulation was all he could find wrong. I live here. There is missing caulking around the house the wind blows through vent covers and in through fan vents. There are breaks in the vinyl siding. The inspection was way more than one we had booked prior to the lock down. Hundreds more.
Then the regional manager called me when I gave AmeriSpec an original three rating. He Was angry and asked if I minded explaining the low rating as they had never had one so low. He started yelling over the phone when I said it was too expensive. “ It is expensive because you are dealing with a for profit business, not with non profit business I was originally booked with. I told him to calm down. I also told him after what I told the auditor there was nothing else noted regarding the cold in the house.
The Inspection report is very difficult to follow. It is written for an inspector, it is very cluttered and does not flow in an orderly manner nor does lend to understanding for anyone of average or lower reading comprehension to follow. It is showy but not informative. Present just the facts, in an orderly fashion please.
He said my expectations were too high and did I know he had been involved in inspections for the last ten years. While admitting he had not “ fully“ read my inspection report.
He offered me a full refund. I told him he was only doing this so I would be quiet. I asked what the intention was of asking people to rate a business? What was refunding my money going to solve? Not the truth.
At this point he was huffing and puffing into the phone and raising his voice at me because he clearly agitated that I was leaving my rating as stated. I told him I thought I might learn something from the report. I did not. There was no reason given for windows that drip with condensation and are full of ice in the winter. There are no suggestions as to why the wind freely blows into my vent covers or for the lack of caulking and what effect the holes in the siding have on the “R” factor of the house. I asked the manager to go and read my audit and call me back when he had calmed down. He agreed.That was three days ago. He has not called back. What a ridiculous way to treat a customer.
