How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Coach Kat was AMAZING and I would go back just for her. The front desk staff was nice enough to me, but they were completely disengaged from every other member who walked in the door. Every other OTF I’ve been to, everyone is enthusiastically welcomed, often by name, as soon as they open the door. This staff, however, seemed to just be glued to their computer screens.

Also (and this is no fault of the staff), some of the members seemed uninterested and unmotivated. I just didn’t feel very welcomed, other than Kat’s fantastic energy and guidance.

I love working out in this place it’s very high energy atmosphere, all the coaches and staff I am very professional fun to work out with I just hate the fact if I don’t show up I lose my class

I enjoyed the coaches, Katrina and Brian. I also enjoyed the newer equipment and individual monitors on the treadmills. I wish the location all the best as it continues to grow.

Very good workout with motivating coach and music. People of all levels so not intimidating which is also motivating. Studios all over US so easy to workout even when traveling.

I really enjoy OTF, my only issues are the lack of weights and sometimes the coaches have the music loud enough you cant hear the person next to you.

you could give a heads up to new people of how fast they speak in the class. For people like me (english is my second language) it was hard for 2 /3 classes.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

I enjoy two of the instructors at OTF and I love OTF! However, I don't enjoy some of the music that other instructors play. When I am asked to run for four minutes straight at push/all out level, I can't do this to slow rock music and/or the intro song to the Lion King. I prefer fast-beat rock/rap/pop music to motivate me during a workout like this. The way OTF works, the workouts are the same across all OTF facilities on that day, so the playlist selection is an imperative aspect of an OTF instructor's job. I am honestly happy that you asked for a review, as I would love to help improve the facility, and I truly believe that working on improving the playlists is crucial. I went to a workout in Hilton Head with an instructor named AJ who had an incredible playlist. The beat of the songs was not only appropriate for the task at hand, but it motivated me to work even hard than I ever had before. As a run changed to an all out, the beat dropped and I was incredibly motivated to run fast.

It seems like one of the instructors was a front desk worker who got promoted to be a coach prematurely due to difficulty finding good instructors. This individual, in my opinion, did not provide any extra knowledge beyond the information provided by what the OTF workout of the day was. And I did not enjoy the playlist that day.

To end on a positive note, Tre is my favorite instructor at the gym. She is incredibly knowledgeable, provides weight recommendations on the floor, and cheers on people who have achieved after-burn and whatnot. Her classes are the only ones that I am currently attending, but I still have two more instructors to trial.

Please bring back shower sign ups. The old system worked very well. Now a bunch of us leave class early because we don't know what the line will be like. The new free for all system is chaotic and not good. I've started going to other locations because of this but would prefer to go to Palo Alto if there was some way to sign up for a shower.

What do you like about our workout?

OTF Cottleville has amazing coaches that are passionate about what they do! The care about each person in their classes, and they know how to challenge us regardless of our level of fitness. I love the sense of family the exists at this studio! I’m competing against myself while spending time with my fitfam! I love the changes I’m seeing in my body, and my coaches have taught me how to be mentally stronger as well!! All of this wouldn’t be possible without our head coach, Olivia!! I’m forever grateful for how she has changed my life.

What could we do to improve?

Orange theory could improve by getting to know your members a little bit more, like what their goals are. In regards to weight, strength, and gains. Also what their strengths and weaknesses are in the gym and what we could all improve on.
