I love Fitness Together- the staff, the work out areas are great! I feel very comfortable having a workout session with my trainer Kathy- I'm very self-conscious of my body so it's worth going to FT where I feel confident!

FT is just what I need for a great personalized workout. It isnโ€™t a large gym that you get lost in. It is the right place for friendly and individualized attention to doing exercise right.

I appreciate Kathy and her knowledge about our bodies and exercise science. When my low back was so painful, she gave me the one exercise that helped the most. Kathy is both encouraging and supportive. Makes a huge difference for me.

You didn't "disappoint" me. The question was how likely are you to recommend to a friend, and the more accurate answer is not a number on a scale of 1-10, it's "it depends". Depends on what friend is looking for, where they live, budget, schedule. ๐Ÿ˜€ My final assessment after 18 sessions is: * Yes, my back is stronger * Trainers were all very nice * I do think they adapted to my needs/limitations, and they did make me do things I'd never done, probably wouldn't have chosen to do if left to my own devices * It was good to be able to work out in a quieter environment * Everyone was gracious around my foofs, which were several What didn't work out quite as I'd hoped was info around body composition, measurable progress. I'd mentioned that when I signed up, was assured I could get that, but it never happened. I think probably that's because that's not a focus, and maybe it's not a focus because the likelihood is I wouldn't have registered any measurable progress? And truth is, as time passed, I didn't think it was important, either. But as a budget minded person who's never paid this much for exercise, I wanted to get as much bang for my buck as I could; also, when I've had more personalized exercise experiences in the past, they did that, so it just seemed it would be included. As a semi-lazy and perpetually tired person, I didn't mind that my 45 minute session often only took 35 minutes, but see above.... I did sometimes think I wasn't worked out hard enough, but maybe we were going to the hard place and backed off because my back couldn't take it, and that a good thing for me, but it was still kind of disappointing. Not your fault, just, I guess I ultimately felt your program was not as suitable for ME as I'd hoped it would be. And as Tony might recollect, all of this is couched in trauma/drama. I'd just had what seemed like a scary diagnosis, my husband surprised me (probably because HE was scared,) with his resistance to my engaging with Fitness Together, which forced me to "defy" him...not a thing I ever want to do...all of which made everything bigger and more fraught. That's not YOUR fault; I probably shouldn't have "done it anyway," but I'd said I would and I felt stupid backing out "because my husband told me I had to." It's just all totally embarrassing, and I'm sorry, but it's also true/he's right that I do make impulsive decisions, I don't ask the right questions and sometimes I end up wishing I hadn't done a thing, so it was hard. Still, you didn't need and shouldn't have been caught up in my family drama, yet my experience is nonetheless colored because of it. All told, it was ... fine. Was it "worth it"? That's harder to answer. Value, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I wish you all well. ๐Ÿ˜€
