Make a point at a client’s first visit (including the fitness assessment) of greeting them, helping them pair up with the trainer. For my first session, a couple of trainers were at the desk, but didn’t introduce themselves and I waited awkwardly for my trainer to come out. Although ultimately everyone is very friendly, it’s not the warmest environment to walk in to at first.
I've had a wonderful experience with Cal! It's been a perfect mix of feeling challenged to grow and feeling met where I'm at. It's been so rewarding to get stronger and feel the progress in my day-to-day life. After struggling for many years to have a consistent exercise routine, I've really enjoyed sticking with this and feeling my motivation grow. Cal is a fun, attuned, and wonderful trainer to work with. I highly recommend!
I'm 83 and have been going to Fitness Together for 3 years. My goals of better balance, more strength, and improvement of joints (better function and no pain) have all been met. I am in much better shape than when I first signed up. I don't have the self-discipline to do it on my own but Leigh at FT makes staying in shape fun.
scheduling is a nightmare for me. Back and forth with a person or by email. I want to see a calendar with open spaces. As I write this, 2 days ago I was emailing to schedule 2 weeks out, I have not heard back on my future schedule. If there is another way, please enlighten me.
The trainers really know their stuff! Workouts are fun, informative, inspiring and therapeutic. They've helped me get stronger in general, and also recover from a couple injuries (my occupational therapist at the hospital was thrilled). Highly recommend for all ages, all levels of fitness.
very supportive staff; program tailored to my own goals. Varied exercises but with gradually increasing difficulty. Always feel like I've had a great workout!
Flexible, knowledgeable and persistent, the FT team do a great job of helping their clients get fit! Special kudos to Kerri, who ensures we get the timeslots we need, even when our schedules get difficult. And to the amazing (and interesting, and fun) trainers!
