Individualized service. Knowledgeable staff. My family has had two situations in which Fleet Feet corrected an issue that doctors were unable to diagnose and treat.
1. My daughter had been buying her shoes from Flleet Feet, but while in college ordered some shoes directly from Brooks. She is an avid runner and began having a lot of hip and knee pain. After multiple CT scans and specialist’s visits, they couldn’t seem to find the source of her pain. While home on break, I took her in to get new shoes. The Fleet Feet staff member immediately asked her if they had sold her the shoes she was wearing. She admitted that she’d bought them on line. The staff member (without knowing her history) informed her that the shoes she was wearing were not recommended for her foot type and could potentially cause a lot of hip and knee pain. The new shoes we purchased for my daughter resolved her issues.
2. I had been suffering with severe Plantar Faciaitis and was under the treatment of a podiatrist. Nothing seemed to be helping. I purchased some shoes and inserts from Fleet Feet. A couple of months later, I realized I hadn’t had any foot pain. Prior to this experience, I had always thought inserts were an unnecessary expense. Now I have then in all my shoes!
