I have been getting my hair styled by Sports Clips for a very long time, even though I have less of it, as the years have passed.š Though the personnel changes every so often, I remain a loyal customer. I like the fact that I can look online to see who is scheduled to work that day, and make an appointment without having to actually call the salon. The store is consistently clean, and upon entering, I am always welcomed with a friendly greeting. My current stylist, Lian, has a great memory, and never fails to pick up our conversation right where we left off, be it weeks or even months since my last visit. She also keeps notes from my previous appointments, including my personal peferences and specific styling requests. That way, I don't have to go over how I want my hair cut that day, unless there are adjustments I would like (which she always asks, prior to putting her scissors to work). Add to that, she is genuinely a warm-hearted person, which is the cherry on the top of my ongoing Sports Clips experience. AND, the value is unsurpassed!

Lian was great at building rapport with our son. It helps him to be more independent and make decisions for himself. I hope you have more stylists like her and less like Nancy, I believe her name is. I know sheās got blonde hair, late middle aged, around 5ā3ā, and Armenian. Iāve been coming her since you opened. Iām actually the 1st review & pictures on Yelp. Iāve brought my kids here since that time as well. My experience with Nancy made me reconsider ever visiting your establishment ever again Spencer. She is a problem. I called asking for Karla because sheās been amazing helping me since I grew out my hair. I was flustered when they told me she was out on maternity leave so I asked if they could suggest someone else to which they replied Yes, Nancy. I was hesitant as Iāve observed her over the years but I was desperate. I went ahead and checked in ahead and showed up 10 minutes early, I sat & waited patiently as I listened to her bs & flirt with a customer which bordered on inappropriate to me. 25 minutes past the time I was supposed to be called, yes, she took 45 minutes to cut this manās hair, I was finally up. I stood up, said hi, how are you?. She rudely responded with what do u need? Taken aback, I moved past it and just said I would like to discuss how I want my hair cut & styled as I was out of my depth not yet being used to long hair, I went from almost a buzz cut to hair past my shoulder length thanks to quarantine. She again, rudely responded and demanded I sit down. I again pardoned it and sat down while pulling up some pics of styles I thought could be fitting, she then proceeded to argue with me which at that point, I gave up and lost my patience. Under my breath, I muttered, forget this and got up out of the chair, which caused her to begin berating me as she didnāt hear what I said. She caused a whole scene and embarrassed me in front of the whole store and several other customers. This occurred on 4/11/23. I called and spoke with Lian later that day and it seems like she brushed it off. If it wasnāt for the fact that my oldest son is insistent on going to your establishment I wouldnāt return there. Shortly after that date, I brought him in to see Lian. I spoke with her at that time again about this issue and she brushed it off again. I let it slide bcuz I think sheās new but as a manager she should be taking these things seriously regardless of the tenure of the employee. I had to bring my son for a haircut again yesterday which is when I saw Lian again and there was Nancy again. She noticed me & seemed worried bcuz she clearly remembered me. I donāt forgive her for what sheās done and no apology was even attempted. She hasnāt even attempted to admit or correct her behavior. Itās truly disgusting. In the past, my 3 kids and I would get our haircuts here. Since the incident with Nancy, it will only be 1 of my sons getting service here because I donāt feel that I should be contributing my money to an establishment that treats me like dirt and bullys me. I hope you address this Spencer. Iām noticing consistent reviews like this and it only takes 1 bad apple to spoil the bunch.

After losing my long time stylist to COVID I searched relentlessly to find someone to somehow replace 20 years of superior styling and valued trust. It was beginning to look like Iād never again have the comfort and confidence I enjoyed for so long.
Then, one day I dejectedly walked into SportClips in South Pasadena, CA, and like a ray of sunshine I was overwhelmed by the warmth and brilliance of Nancy! Like manna from Heaven she was a gift from above!
From the moment we met she invested in me, not my hair, and as if she was some sort of āHair Whispererā she discovered WHAT I needed in a haircut by determining WHO I was! After getting to know each other for awhile she then gave me the best haircut I had in years and it fit me like a custom made hat.
Needless to say, Iāve been with Nancy and SportClips happily ever after!
