I can't say enough about the Abbondanza menu. Chef Jonathan consistently knocked it out of the park. We have been visiting La Tavola for the last 10 plus years and I can't say enough about this year's menu selections. We were so impressed we visited twice in one week to sample more of his menu items.
Ok, salt-roasted beets - not even my mom could get me to eat. The beets with the pistachios were a great compliment. Who would have known? We also loved the paring of the charred octopus with mussels.
We can't say enough about the new chef and this menu. The parings, plating, and options were above and beyond anything we expected. It's great to see the talent and the Fifth Group allowing creativity and risks taken by the chef. Bravo and thank you for hiring chef Jonathan. We will be back soon to enjoy the new and classic creations!

La Tavola is romantic, warm, friendly and the food is spectacular. I love this place. The wine recommendation was perfect and not anywhere near the most expensive bottle on the menu. Can’t wait to go back.

LaTavola is our favorite restaurant but unfortunately on our last visit I was disappointed. My husband ordered the veal-an all time favorite. I ordered off the fall menu . I ordered the brussell sprouts appetizer. The flavor was good but the portion was very small-with this huge lump of cheese in the middle. Too much cheese and not enough brussell sprouts and priced way too high for what I got.
I also ordered the quail. Here again a disappointment. It came cut in half covered by a brown sauce that made it look like road kill. Only 1 quail which we know does not have much meat. Here again way over priced for what I got. Will probably not order off specials again. Also wonder if there's a new manager here?
The food, the service, the familiarity. I always have a great meal. I love that the menu changes periodically and seasonally. The service is consistently outstanding and the atmosphere is truly comforting. Plus, it’s only a mile from home.
