I love how they have continuous activites for the kids to do throughout the week days, and the different field trips they are able to take each week as well. I also like that they have opportunities for middle school age kids to attend as well, and are able for them to explore our community while also being apart of a secure facility.

We love summer camp

The Staff & Director in Whitley County do a great job with the Resources they have.

Because they are outside’ most of the time, I would suggest an outside restroom like the Parks have. All the Soccer people and other act outside activities going on at this location use the same Porter Johns as the day campers.

I almost don't want to write this review because then it will make the Whitely Y camp too popular! But honestly, this was the best camp experience as a parent and for my kiddo. The camp counselors and directors care so much, it's so wonderful. They get to go on field trips, and build really strong connections with the campers and the counselors.

I hope to come back every year with my kids!

The Columbia City YMCA day camp and kids care all together has some of the best people. Year after year we consistently see the same faces leading their team, yay Poppi! The consistency and staff speaks volumes in today's world. Have fun programming, weekly field trips, overnight camps and spend a day with the kids raising money for their end of year party. It definitely has that small community feel that everyone knows everyone. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing childcare.

My children really enjoy all the Children's programs we've used including summer camp and child watch. I like how personable the staff is.

The staff are wonderful. Everything is thoughtfully planned out. The only thing I would recommend, when it is extremely hot out to have more inside activities or water activities. All and all very happy with the Whitley County YMCA. Thank you! We appreciate you all!

The staff/counselors do so well with our son. I love the environment for him—maintaining some structure but also allowing them to have a summer of building friendships and having fun.

My kids enjoyed being able to hang out with friends during the summer. I appreciated all of the scheduled activities so they weren't just sitting in front of screens or doing nothing inside. I feel like the price point was pretty reasonable for everything they get to do.

The summer camp staff is exceptional!!

The staff are accommodating and great with the kids. The activities keep the kids active and engaged. My kid really enjoys the field trips.

My son was new to the community and joining the Y summer camp helped him meet people his age before school started. The LIT program was structured but also included a lot of fun and time with the younger campers. I’m glad this is part of the Columbia Cify community.

The organization of the camp is seamless! Fun field trips! And the best staff! Even if problems arise everyone communicates so well that I have never had an issue or been left wondering!
Most of all my kids LOVE IT and are tired after a fun day at camp!

The counselors are kind and compassionate and are always great with kids of different ages and personalities. There are a great variety of activities and the field trips are awesome. My kids have a great time!

Audrey has went 5 years and loves it. She wants to be a counselor when she is old enough.

The summer program provided stability for my children throughout the summer. The flexible schedule removed a lot of stress when work ran late or if I needed an extra day of care. The kids made friends and enjoyed getting to know their camp counselors. They look forward to returning to Y care during school breaks for the 2Phone number removed school year.

The counselors are attentive and accommodating, the field trips are great, and I like that the challenge the older kids to serve as leaders and organize activities for the younger kids.

Love that kids are very active physically and spend most of the time outdoors. Love that they do field trips weekly. My kids love their camp counselors too! Only downside I've noticed this year is LITs are allowed to have electronics and I wish they did not. My LIT does not have electronics for a reason, but she's getting a lot of exposure to other kids' electronics when I would much rather she be playing! I do like that LITs are given a little more freedom in other areas though.

Lori has created so many fun activities to keep the kids having fun, creating friends and making memories all while being safe. Thank you so much for all you do!
