My daughter went to Y Camp every week this summer. As a younger camper, we were apprehensive about sending her to a brand new program every day, but as working parents, you do what you gotta do. This apprehension drifted away quickly. Every single day she was met with a warm and welcoming greeting (thank you Peppa and Slim Jim). When I say every day, I mean it. From the very first day, to the very last day. At the Y, I knew my daughter was in good hands and that she would be spending the day playing, being active and around other kids doing the same.
Overall, they do a great job and we enjoyed every year.
Convenience for Parents and fun for the kiddos. However, pretty expensive for the Y not to provide lunch.
Flexible and kids are active all day!
The staff were amazing. Very friendly and you can tell they cared about my kids. A lot of fun activities too! The summer flew bye!
Counselors are friendly and get to know my children on a personal level. They tell me about the kinds of activities my children did throughout the day and are always kind and caring. My children enjoy the semi-structured nature of the camp so that they can do all kinds of activities with their friends while also having free time to play.
This was our first year using the YMCA summer camp, and we had such a wonderful experience. As a full-time single parent who was also in school this summer, it meant so much to me knowing that my daughter was still able to have a summer of her own. She was able to play with friends, go on weekly field trips, swim, have fun, and most importantly, just be a kid.
Everyone who worked with my daughter throughout the summer was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She absolutely loved going to camp and still talks about the staff and the memories she made. It gave me peace of mind knowing that while I was working and going to school, she was somewhere safe, having fun, making friends, and enjoying her summer.
For our first year, I truly could not have asked for a better experience. My daughter absolutely loved YMCA summer camp, and we will definitely continue using the program. I would absolutely recommend it to other families, especially working parents who want their children to still have a fun and memorable summer.
The flexible hours make it a great option for me a working mom.
I love that my kids are active all day and the counselors seem to be engaged with the kids.
My son loves the junior chef camp! The counselors make every day so fun for the kids and it's a great option for working parents or for kids who just want a fun summer! Having the outdoor pool is an awesome bonus for this camp.
My only suggestions for approval would be a weekly update email from the counselors to share what they are doing. We had them last year, but I have not received any this year.
Our child has very much enjoyed every week which is what matters most to us.

Our counselors are great! They are very engaged with the kids. I love the beads that they are giving the kids for showing great life traits this year.
My girls loved it. The only thing I want to say is my little one fell on the side of the pool and hit her upper back thigh. She ended up with a big nasty bruise, and I a bit confused why there was no accident report made.
The counselors are so supportive and fun for my 5 year old!! He absolutely LOVES going to camp every day! The staff make everything so easy for drop off and pick up, and I feel so happy knowing my son is in a safe and fun environment through out the day!!
The YMCA summer camp program has lots of options based on interests. My camper enjoys playing with friends and meeting new friends at camp. I appreciate the well-thought out activities to keep my camper interested and active during the summer months! Thanks for all that you do!
My child has gone for the last three years and absolutely loves it. He gets to play with friends all day, while I’m at work and it works for us. He has made great friendships while there, and they look forward to seeing each other every summer.
