What I like about the i9 program is the coaches, the teamwork, and the fun. The coaches are encouraging and supportive, which makes playing less stressful and more enjoyable. They focus on teaching and helping everyone improve instead of just winning. I also like how the program emphasizes teamwork, because it helps players work together, support one another, and build friendships. Most of all, i9 makes sports fun by creating a positive environment where everyone gets to play, enjoy the game, and feel confident.
After only a few sessions everyone has been very positive and focused on teaching and respectful play. The referees made sure the kids understood rules and even used penalties or mistakes as a teaching moment in a very encouraging way. The coaches have been are quick to compliment an opponent when they do something positive and discourage taunting and show-boating from their own players. Coming from Fairview park, where teams are “stacked” to exclude players that are just learning or refs that feel like it is a chore to be there, this environment has been very refreshing.

The half-coaching / half game format
I love that there are different options for locations to register your child along with having the app for game days. It makes things very convenient and easy for game days. For this not being a competitive league, I like the fact a child will get a metal after each game. It shows them their efforts truly matter.
I like that they have a wide age range and beginners at any age can play
Coaches really seem to care about the teammates and I was really surprised how quick Coach Bobby learned everyone’s names! It’s my daughter’s first time ever playing a sport and she feels very comfortable being apart of this team! We will definitely be signing up for the Spring session!

First time trying I-9 and I have been very impressed. Here are some of the highlights to me:
1. The location is close by
2. The ability to request coach/friends was taken into account
3. The organization of the schedule ahead of time which was conveyed to us parents
4. The communication about any rare changes in the schedule was made well in advance
5. The added snack sign up on their schedule site to help all parents organize (it even tells you how many kids are on the team)
6. The friendly and encouraging mentality they are teaching these young kids with so that as the season progresses you can see their confidence rise
I love how each week a player receives a medal for the word of the week. This is a great way to teach the kids how to play as a team and include everyone.
They take the time to teach the kids the right way.

So far we are really enjoying the experience and organization of the event! It’s been a lot of fun for our son!
I really enjoyed the fact that even though my son was a beginner, he’s still gets opportunity to go in there at play for every position. The coach is very fair and inclusive with all the Kids.
