Very organized
I love that the kids get to enjoy themselves in a fun, light contact way. My son loves sports, but his dad is a few hours away so having a male figure to look up to and help him with his techniques etc has been great. He also loved learning more about the sport, understanding the positions, what they do and how they all work together. He enjoyed the morale of the other boys and girls, they’re all so encouraging.
I like that i9 programs offer a way for my kids to build up their skills in a low pressure and fun environment. I also appreciate that it’s only 1 day a week without extra practices so it is easy to fit into our schedule. Our current coach, Ethan, is great! He’s positive, upbeat, and fun!
Organize and fair
We were able to have a team with kids from the same school and neighborhoods.
That learning/teaching the sport is part of the program. The focus on everyone getting to participate is great. Teaching sportsmanship and teamwork is a real bonus. Having practice before on game days is wonderful as it allows families to not be tied down to multiple days, especially when you have several children in the i9 program.
I’d like to say that I-9 Sports was money well spent. The staff running the camp as well as the parents and children were so very supportive of each other. It was a great experience for my granddaughters and for myself as a first time coach. We will continue to sign up to improve their skills as well as mine as a coach.
The coach is very patient with the youngsters. He is also teaching the fundementals.
Games and practices are only on Saturdays so doesn't interfere with work or weekly plans etc. All players get to play and no tryouts.
That practice is the day of the game.
I like the award system for thie kids, it builds up thier self esteem.
I don't like that teams don't have coaches, or it takes awhile to get one, I understand they are volunteers, but the first practices are always so unorganized, and kids are lost,
I like that it is low pressure for beginners, especially first time players!
Availability in our area and the variety of programs.
The coaches are fantastic, the ref that we had was very supportive of the kids and encouraged my son when he got a little 'hot' during a game. The sportsmanship is pretty good in terms of the parents not being too crazy. At the older ages, it gives kids with perhaps less 'talent' than other kids their age, to play rec sports and be competitive. I would recommend it because of all of those things! Thanks so much....
We like the following:
● there is a dedicated coach and the program does not require a parent to be a volunteer coach
● pricing is cheaper than PBGYAA
● there is a primary emphasis on having fun instead of winning
● the parental pledge to remind parents of the above point
Sportsmanship awards.
Fun, we really have enjoyed the educational intro to sports. Helps so much when trying out a sport we know nothing about. Would like more of these available in Salt lake county. Had to dive over an hour to get to these each week.
However our coach Haley Murdock was amazing, fun and very patient with the kiddos. Would love for her to be our coach again.
