I have to start by saying that I'm a male in his mid sixties that walks about one hour a day five days a week and. needed to get some shoes that would stop my feet from aching after my walk. On the day I visited Fleet Feet (middle of the week around 1:00 pm) they seemed to be a bit under staffed, and I along with a few others had to wait a bit to be helped. When it was finally my turn I found the wait to be more than worth it! Measurements were taken of my feet, and not just your basic measurements like size and width others like foot height and pressure areas were also taken. After, my salesman had me walk back and forth to see if I needed a shoe with more ankle support. Finally, using their fit system he brought me several different styles and brands of shoe. I tried on each of the recommendations and he had me walk outside the store up and down the block to make sure I was able to choose the most comfortable and supportive shoe. In the end I left Fleet Feet feeling like I have the best shoe for my needs. I've used the shoes for a week now and feel like I got the perfect shoe for me. I would definitely recommend Fleet Feet to anyone who has some time (and $) to invest in getting the best service and shoe for their needs!

I have purchased 4 pairs of Brooks shoes from your Elmhurst store during the last 3 years. My wife has purchased two pairs. My recent visit was the least satisfying. The assistant seemingly had only moderate interest in helping me, and shared little enthusiasm. Granted, I already had a good idea of what I wanted when I came to the store. However, I was offered little advice and no options. The only Brooks Ghost 14 shoe in my size (11) was not the color I would have preferred. In the end, I bought it and am happy with it. It was on sale, which was nice.
All in all, I was not totally dissatisfied with my experience, but I could have done just as well ordering them online, and not driving 60 minutes roundtrip.

I had a good experience. Your salesperson did a very good job. Although I came to the Elmhurst store at a busy time, I was waited upon quickly. I told the salesperson my requirements and he brought out a few shoes that did meet those requirements. I tried and purchased the first pair that he recommended. I was out of the store in about 15 minutes. I appreciate that as I dislike crowded stores.
I have put 20 miles on the shoes in the shoes in the first few days. They suit my running style well. I think that they were a good suggestion.

I am a podiatrist. The store staff were not aware of my profession when I brought family members in for shoes. Activities varied for each family member. I appreciated the individual assessment and shoe recommendations based on the family members need and not on a sales commission.
