I have been a member of the YMCA in Freehold for over 27 years. It has the best gym facilities by far. My greatest criticism is the gym is always too hot , the fans help a little , but I have had to cut my workout short many times because it is so uncomfortable to stay there.

This is our 5th summer at the Y and my kids beg to return yearly. They are so excited to see and reconnect with their camp friends. The counselors feel like family and they are so great with my kiddos.
The biggest advantage at the Y is the pool, which helps them mentally and physically.
Various activities but mostly the swimming aspect.
My kids love going to the Y for summer camp! This is there second summer there and love the pool most of all, but also have formed wonderful bonds with the incredible staff. The staff are always so energetic and enthusiastic at pick up and drop off and alway meet my every need!

This was my eldest daughter's first year at big kid camp and she absolutely loved it! Every morning she was greeted by welcoming smiles and excitement to start the day. At pick up she'd fill us in on her day and couldn't wait for the next one.
Her stories and the hello high fives have made my two other ones stoked to join in the fun next summer! The field trips were also great experiences. As a parent I was super comfortable and knew what to expect as communication with Kim and Malcolm was excellent.
Everyone who worked or helped make this camp what it is has done an amazing job and my family is so excited to come back next year! So much love and joy and passion. Thank you to Kim, Malcolm and the entire staff of YMCA summer camp!
I like that my kids are safe, busy and enjoying themselves while I'm at work all summer. They love to swim, so the swim lessons an free swim every day are a big part of their camp fun. Swimming is a key part of our camp decision, and also that they see a lot of school friends and camp friends from previous years.
The YMCA of Monmouth County hosts an incredible camp each year with Kim, camp director, at the helm. In the past, we had sent our son to a very expensive camp - where the counselors were not adept to handle any child who had a tough time regulating their emotions.
We were SO grateful for the Y when they stepped in to welcome our child mid-summer last year.
The YMCA of Monmouth County turned our summer around, and made sure our son had a positive experience.
The Y's camp counselors have a huge heart, know all of the kids by name, and clearly know how to handle and work with a kid who is having a tough moment. The Y is a phenomenal camp and I would recommend it to anyone inquiring about it as an option.

This year at the YMCA in my opinion, was a great experience and I would for sure go again, the kids were so adorable and the people I have made friends with are nice, I'm so glad that I was able to experience this summer camp this year and be an RMIT. I was trying my best to be a great role model to the younger kids and make sure that they had a good time as well. The counselors were really nice, and they really helped me to be able to adjust to the camp since I had never been there before. I loved my experience attending the Freehold YMCA and I will gladly go again next year if I have the chance. Thank you for making my summer so fun and full of adventure!
Friendly and caring staff, reasonably priced, lots of activities for the kids
The workout equipment is proficient, the classes are spectacular, and the workers there are nice.
