Everyone at the YMCA is very nice from the people that work there to the patrons who attend the classes.
I’ve had a great experience at the East Triangle YMCA. The gym and pool areas are always clean and well-maintained, which makes a big difference when you’re there regularly. The staff is truly outstanding—friendly, helpful, and they even seem to know everyone by name. Every visit comes with a warm welcome and plenty of smiling faces, which creates a really positive atmosphere.
One feature I especially appreciate is the kid drop-off area. The staff does a fantastic job keeping the children engaged and entertained, which allows parents to focus on their workouts or attend fitness classes without worry.
Overall, it’s a welcoming, well-run facility that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to work out and feel part of a community.
We love the Y! The only issue is scheduling when you have multiple kids enrolled in different sports. My son was in flag football and my daughter was in soccer and since football played at the Garner Y sometimes, as a single parent, I was unable to transport and watch their games when one was at Garner and the other was at East Triangle with only 10-15 min in between games.
The facility is very nice with a lot of interesting features & amenities. The staff is very welcoming. There is a good variety of classes.
I have been coaching Flag football for the East Triangle YMCA for the past few years, and it has been a great experience for my kids and me. My son loves the games and talks about previous seasons at times. The program is well organized and stresses the importance of good sportsmanship, which is very important. I enjoy watching the kids having fun developing their football skills during the season.
Variety of classes and level of professional instructors.
I enjoy the variety of classes that are offered.
I enjoy the classes, staff are great and it’s close to my home.
The fitness classes are well designed to meet my needs. The instructors are well trained. They always offer various ways to safely exercise and achieve the best goals for your body. They will make sure you get the best workout according to your ability. They demonstrate the activity before execution. I appreciate their encouragement.
This location has the best staff and members. . Everyone is very considerate .

Classes
Great staff, lots of exercise options
This place has good classes, great trainers, and a wide variety of equipment to use. I would like to see more eliptical machines as those fill up.quickly.
Staff is very friendly and attentive. The members are very friendly. It's feels like a family atmosphere
Great facility and nice staff
I LOVE everything about the Y.
Friendly, caring staff. Cleanliness of the facility. The equipments rarely breaks down.
Instructors are the best. Don't like no heater for pool when we get out during cold weather. Don't like outdoor furniture not clean each day before pool opens. Especially during pollen season.Don't like pool bathroom dirty, no paper towels, handicap bathroom door doesn't lock, and pool should be vacuumed daily to prevent falls.
I am a regular at the aqua aerobics classes and do try to get into the Thrive classes but they are always booked and some too early in the morning.
I enjoy the Y have made friends and the staff is exceptional. Most of the instructors are very good to excellent except the yoga classes. I wish there were more Thrive classes that were centered on Pilates and yoga.
It would be very positive and I hear this from many members if you had classes going later in the day say 1 or 2. Many of us are retired and not that interested in early classes.
During the winter with the aquarium classes starting at 10:15 is too early weather wise.you would have more people if held later because it is typically warmer.
The aquarium classes should all be like David’s where you do burn calories and get your heart rate up. We are there to exercise and at least one instructor does a dance type classes where most people do their own thing because it doesn’t work in the water.
I mean these comments to be constructive. I hear exactly what I am saying from multiple people on a regular basis not just a few people complaining.
I hope you get some later classes, get David to encourage the other instructors to do aquarium aerobics more like he does and there is another young woman who does a great job I just can’t remember her name at this moment she has young children if that helps.
All in all I do enjoy the Y and encourage you to keep improving. Thank you for listening
The PEOPLE! The sense of community and feeling like an extended family is one reason I enjoy the Y!
Classes and people are great.
It’s too bad the gym is situated over the classrooms. People seem to deliberately drop very heavy weights which is very unnerving. The whole building shakes.
Classes are great. Staff is friendly and helpful
I would like to be able to bring more than one guest per adult at a time. I’ve had inconveniences before with this matter. But overall I’ve been happy with all of my other experiences
Staff is fantastic
