So many opportunities for family time. We love the pool for free swim. My son and i also really enjoy the large and open feel of the workout are.
The staff at my local YMCA in Alliance Ohio is awesome. They are always helpful, friendly and welcoming. I suffer from PTSD and going to my local Y helps tremendously with my treatment Being on a lower income, having access to the reduced rates for my family is a life saver. I truly appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that I find in my local ymca .
The people! I’m really gonna miss Michele Minor when she leaves she is amazing. All the ladies and gentlemen that work there are beyond excellent.
I have been a member since 1979, so I'm a pretty old guy. I started working out when I was 20 and it has been a part of my life for the last going on 46 years. The Staff are so nice to talk too. I have suffered from depression for most of my adult life and my mood always brightens after a workout. I just use the weight room and the YMCA has done a great job keeping the equipment up-to-date. I can't say enough good things about the Y. It is really a part of my life.
Everyone is friendly, staff,instructors, people that participae in the classes I attend, They may not know your name, but say Hi, how are you or if you haven't been theire awhile they ask if everything is ok.and if not, or just having a not so good day they have a kind word , a hug, or just a "let me know if I can help.
The AFY is a great place for anyone to lift, workout, swim, play pickleball, play basketball, etc. With everything ranging from group exercise classes for adults and seniors, to swim lessons and fun events specifically planned for kids, the AFY has it all. I've been a member since 2019 and it's been my gym of choice to help in all my lifting and running goals.
