I like the atomospher not noisy music. people are quiet to you need to do and go quietly.
This YMCA location usually has the classes that interest me the most. I live close to the Windward Y, but I often go to the Nu'uanu Y because of the classes they offer.
So many good classes and instructors, lots of friends, a coffee bar, and a fictional pool.
The class offered are great -especially mindfulness yoga

Lots of classes to choose from , and a good place to meet people
Great gym. Love the pool, though there needs to be more lanes available for adults for lap swim on weekends. It's hard to find time during the week to go, and the weekend is often the best time for working adults to swim there.
Exercise area is reasonably well maintained- I enjoy using recumbant bikes and weight trainig. I am concerned that some equipment has been down for more than a week without explanation of when it would be restored.

The programs, the large spaces and clean locker rooms. I also really enjoy the outdoor pool here! Its the reason that even though its a little further than the Y closest to me now, that I always prefer the Nuuanu YMCA.
There are many different classes to choose from, covering a wide range of exercise foci, but also lots of equipment for doing individual workouts. One thing I especially like about classes is that I end up exercising or stretching muscles that I wouldn’t do on my own, so I get a better all-around workout.
Wonderful experience, lots of activities for my son, experienced trainers, fun and impactful classes, huge facility. And a sauna which makes for extra perks definitely worth the investment as well as their excellent childcare and preschool programs.
