Friendly place for kids
I love that the staff takes the time to develop a personal relationship with my kids. I also love the creative curriculum and activities that they plan to keep the kids engaged. Y kids at our school is more than a child watch program, they provide a fun and engaging place for my kids to start and end their school day.
I like the staff and that they are open until 6pm
We love all of the workers and how much they care about our kids. They also have a great structure and schedule, and mix of activities to keep the kids busy and engaged.

Knowing our son has a safe place to go after school gives us peace of mind. We don’t want to stress about making sure he gets home after school off the bus and into the house okay. We know when he goes to the Y Child Care he is safe and also has time for activities, homework, a snack, and gets to be social. If he rode the bus home he would be alone and probably just watching TV until we got home. We also love that Y staff communicates with us when there are any issues.
They put so much care into each kiddo. My child loves going to Y-Care!
We love the Karen attention that the staff provide to our student. Having Mrs. Alona consistently through all of the elementary years has been such a blessing for our family. She is a true asset. I feel the children are safe. I like the structured environment and their ability to get exercise as well.
My kids come home with happy smiles and are always excited to come back. As a mom, that’s the best reason for me to feel confident that they are in a great program.

I love that YMCA childcare provides a safe, nurturing space where my grandson can grow and has grown socially and emotionally. Beyond basic care, they emphasize core values like respect, responsibility, honesty, and kindness. What I appreciate most is their whole-child approach: programs that balance academics, social-emotional learning, physical activity, and creativity to give children a well-rounded experience. Had it not been affordable and accessible, I don’t know how I would manage. The staff truly care, and I value their commitment to teaching positive values and creating a strong sense of community.

The Puyallup ELC has been great. My child loves the staff and looks forward to going everyday. I really appreciate the changes you've made to the curriculum in the past 6 months. I’ve seen a lot of improvement in my child’s educational skill set.

Our daughter is so happy there, and we couldn’t ask for a better team to care for her. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in her well-being. Every day, we receive regular updates and the sweetest pictures that brighten our day and help us feel connected to what she’s learning and doing. It’s clear they go above and beyond to make each child feel loved and supported. We’re so grateful for the nurturing environment they’ve created—it truly feels like a second home for our daughter.

Thank you so much to the staff at East Port Orchard. This first year of kindergarten was a rough transition for me and my daughter and I always appreciated knowing that my daughter enjoyed her time in morning care so much. I'm sorry we rarely made it. I especially appreciate the few times that my husband was stuck at work and I was able to get my daughter into day of afternoon care. Those days saved us.

Structure and kindness. Every kid is so different that having teachers who understand that and work with each child differently is so appreciated.
The staff know my kids, have (some of them) been there for years, and can build on those relationships. My kids are active, fed, seen and cared for, and enjoy being at Y care.
