The women's locker room could definitely use a facelift. Ceiling tiles look warped and some with speakers in them look like they could fall any moment. It would be super if we could have some simple benches and more hanging racks in the changing areas. I have a swim bag that only hangs and now the staff lockers take the space close to the only hanging mounts in the whole locker room.
The Bremerton Family YMCA is smaller. It is a good environment for us because we are both over 70 and we feel very comfortable at the facility. We are cardiac and pulmonary patients and the workout machines are perfect for us. I especially enjoy the yoga class held at 1230 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, plus you can't beat the deals offered for members!
The instructors are top notch. They are also great with us beginners.
My daughter had such a good time at the Bremerton YMCA day camp! She typically has a bit of anxiety with new situations and the counselors were so helpful in helping transition to camp and making her excited for the day. Every day I picked her up, I got the report from the kid that it was the best day ever! The entire staff is great, from the counselors to the counselors in training and the coordinators.
The staff cares, the fitness instructors are helpful and try to understand your goals.
There's a variety of group fitness programs through out the day. Everybody is friendly and easy going.

I had such a great experience signing up for the Y with Jessie. She was super informative, friendly, and helpful. My experience at the facility since has been excellent too. There's plenty of machines, an epic weight room, and the pool/hot tub are easily accessible.

The camp counselors give exceptional care to the kids. My child loves Aspen, Brandon, Shayla, Pheobe, Mads, Addie, and SO MANY MORE. While not all of them are her counselors, she speaks so highly of all of the counselors. I'm confident my kid will be safe and cared for at the Bremerton Family YMCA Day Camp.

I Absolutely Love your Smaller & Cozier Ymca versus the Silverdale One, i feel like there's alot of regulars that go here that I remember seeing 20 yrs ago & I love that! It feels more Like a Little Family .

Its location ... the proximity to my home; and, of course the facility, the desk-staff greeters, the equipment, the convenient class schedules. The cleanliness (haven"t showered there yet tho)
