I like everyone is kind!
I like the pool and the Hot tub. The staff are very friendly, helpful and kindness. They help me in and out of the lap pool and the hot tub. I'm so greedy appreciate theirs kindness towards me. I like to thanks to Mike, Rubby, Zack, and a few other lifeguard and to Trish the swimming instructor she make sure I have a land to swim and Elizabeth the Arabic instructor she always comes and greet me.
Thanks so much for making me through my day! I can come to swim 3-4 times a week. May God's blessings and protection upon everyone in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏 Amen 🙏
its clean and the equipment is state of the art. the programs are great,and its a good place to make new friends.

Clean environment; modern machines; friendly staff
Please fix or do an overhaul of the steamroom in the men's locker room. This steamroom is down way too much and too often. It is one of the pleasures to use after a wokout and it is frustrating when it is out of order.
the soccer club is the best ever.
Great staff, awesome aquatic area, big lap pool, instructional pool and big hot tub pool. I had 2 major surgeries at our VA but didn't want to go to physical therapy. The Lakewood YMCA lap pool has filled that need nicely.
Many excellent activities for seniors and aficionados of all fun hobbies. There is a book club and various other "get together and meet new friends" activities. I've met several wonderful ladies and other Veterans like myself here.
The only downside is the onslaught of children in the summer for the summer camp activities. A few of the children are polite and peaceful but many are loud and not respectful of elders/seniors like me. The staff responsible for the summer children do their best to work with the unruly ones but such a tall order is not easy. Luckily the loudest and most disrespectful children are outdoors when I go for my daily swim.

The members and the staff are very friendly and approachable, theres also a wide variety of activities and free programs as well as coaches that are readily available to help out if needed.

Everything is wonderful there, especially meeting new people too. They cater seniors, one of which I am.

Over the many years that I have been attending the Ymca, I have enjoyed all of the staff and people that I have met. Such a friendly, family atmosphere.

Unlike pearl street ymca..lkwd ymca has a huge beautiful open separate cold pool! And a no nonsense rectangular jacuzzi, that is NOT cordoned off in a bunch of cubicles! There is space for familie in warm pool and times for kids in entire pool area...but the whole pool area is not turned into a crowded childs splash pool...lkwd ymca is far above others in sensible arrangements of pools, sauna, steam rooms, numerous USEFUL gyms, basketball court and conference and enrollment areas...its just A plus directed, scheduled and run...full stop.

Great classes with capable teachers committed to their classes. Class timing allows me to work as well as maintain strength, balance and flexibility.
I think your receptionist staff is amazing, especially during registration week. My home base YMCA is Pearl St YMCA. After a couple registration experiences at Pearl St, I quickly learned that I didn't want go through this type experience registration period again. The number system that Lakewood incorporates during registration works wonderfully. I remember during two registration periods at Pearl St YMCA, I got at there at 3:15pm and waited until registration time. There was about 5 members there for registration at this time and we all were seated where the staff told us to wait until registration time. The lobby filled up to standing room only as registration time got closer. All the people standing up for registration and the people just walking in all registered before the members that were sitting in the waiting area ahead register time. The staff did nothing in our defense.
