Having a community center that offers child care, is a boon to me. As a parent of a toddler, being able to include my kid in activities and play with other kids her age was the clincher for me. With daycare out of the question due to pricing , this has allowed me the ability to exercise and maintain my health while being rest assured that my kid is safe, engaged, and socializing.
My family enjoys the multiple options offered for both kids and adults.

I really enjoy the classes and the amount of different things you can do
The facility is clean, well-stocked with equipment, nice layout, not crowded, and friendly. The pool is usually available for lap swim.

I love the Commit classes!! Tammy and Angel are amazing humans and I look forward to their classes! I really wish there were more!
All things said my children had a positive experience, with the exception of the amount of bullying that took place. My youngest at 7 didn't experience it as much as my older pair did at 11 & 12. Also there needs to be more emphasis put towards parents to avoid the cussing and profanity that was being slung around. I think the consequences should be stronger than just a verbal warning. I think it should be a call from the camp director and perhaps a day suspension for bullying and profanity. YMCA is a Christian non profit foundation and there are so many wonderful scriptures around the campus and I'd like to see more. But it should be protected and children should be encouraged that there are better ways to communicate.
What I like about the Y is that I get a very pleasing and successful work out.

I brought a maintenance matter to the Exec Dir's attention and it was addressed. People are friendly and helpful. It is very clean, custodians are always around and always working hard.
Front desk and Child Watch foks are always very helpful.
Boot camp and muscle up are very good classes, both Tara and Katie do a terrific job pushing us.

Korum Day camp has been so positive for our family. I feel the cost is affordable and I feel good about the program and people caring for my children. They know them well and work hard to accommodate their needs and make it a smooth transition from school routine to summer camp. My kids like the specialty camp options and they are flexible if they need to switch or want to repeat something they really liked. The same director and lead staff have been there for the years my kids have been with YMCA. It says a lot they they are able to keep quality leaders people in these challenging roles. Every time I go to pick up my kids, I can see that kids are cared for and engaged with and allowed to act like kids while being respectful kids. Whether it’s playing sports or in summer camp or just hanging out in the rec room, all the staff, my children have ever engaged with have been truly caring people. We have always been YMCA members no matter what state we lived in and we will always be YMCA members. It’s a culture I believe is important for society and I’m glad to have my kids participate.

All of your staff, and especially the child watch staff, are wonderful. So helpful, friendly, focused, and great at what they do. The staff shows up for members and that energy is felt in the building every day.
