We have a good experience. One feedback that can be improved is during the school closure (winter break and spring break ) the after care is closed but we are still charged for the complete week and need to pay additional to enroll to the camps during that period.
There should be either no charge for those weeks or the kids enrolled to after care shud be automatically enrolled to camps

I know that my grandson is in excellent hands at aftercare. The staff is warm, congenial, and attentive. They supervise homework and provide help when needed.

Extremely convenient, great staff. My son loves it and we couldn't be happier!!

Kids do their homework at school without distractions of home toys, and teachers are around to help when needed. Plus they get to play outside weather permitting. We don't even keep track of half days anymore, because we know the Y has us covered.

The staff are very friendly and professional. They genuinely care about the kids’ well being. We feel safe to place our child in their care. My kid loves all the staff and looks forward to after school. He makes a lot of friends there too! I highly recommend YMCA after school at the West Essex location.

I’m not sure if this is the correct channel to voice the opinion. I hope the vacation camp registration can open up sooner, like ~2-3 weeks in advance so that we can plan ahead. This year the enrollment date is very late, like within the week of the school dayoff. I ended up taking my vacation time from work but in the long run it won’t be enough for me to cover all the school day off for the whole school year.

The staff have been much better at keeping the students in order and attentive this year, which has effectively reduced the potential for unnecessary incidents and drama.

Convenient and flexible.

They supervise our children and keep them safe and entertained. They will play games, do sports and/ or crafts on a daily basis. The kids love it because they stay active and make new friends.

Everyone is very nice. My child enjoys going and I know she is safe.

My son is very happy there and often asks to stay longer. He is making new friends, learning how to problem solve, and playing new games all the time. This is our third child who has gone to the aftercare program with the Y and we are always very pleased with the experience.

My daughters has aftercare as well as Super Summer Camp and loves it. she never wants to go home at the end of the day! thank you!
