I like that a lot of thought went into the program. It was structured and had goals.
Amazing experience. Thanks Julie and Emily :)
The experiences. The fact that my child spends all days outdoors pending few exceptions (downpours and thunder). It's not a place to send my kid to be watched but instead a place to send my kid to experience real camp experience minus the sleepaway part. Only reason I can't rate it all the way, is the cost is a bit on the high side especially when including the busing. And if you are applying this cost across multiple children, it can become very pricey for a family. Otherwise we have loved everything so far about the camp and appreciate all that the counselors and staff do.
I liked the freedom of being mostly in-charge of myself and being able to do activities I can't do at home with my friends.

Blue Mountain Day Camp offers lots of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and try new activities. The staff is always friendly and do a great job. I love the emphasis on engaging with one another which does not happen often in the world of technology we live in.
Our son loves Lake in the Woods camp. So many activities to choose each session and all the counselors are great. He cried on the last day of camp this year and already looking forward to next year. Lia and Chris are beyond amazing and a true asset to your organization.
My daughter had a fantastic time at Camp Minisink. It was her first time at a sleepaway camp and when we came to pick her up after two weeks, she didn’t want to leave. She specifically loved the lake activities and gained so much confidence. The counselors were so supportive and nurturing, she’ll definitely be back.
It’s an experience where you are out in the wilderness all the time.
My daughters have had the quintessential camp experiences here: spending time outdoors, learning new skills, making new friends, gaining independence, etc
Great and perfect
The responsive and engaging counselors. Variety of activities, always having a choice of things to do, and having a variety of people around to talk to.
We love BMDC! If we lived closer my daughter woild go for more sessions. Love the setting, staff, activities.
Everything
The staff and facilities are remarkable
The Camp counselors always remember my kids, which is really giving a home away from home experience. My kids love the nature emersion and i love the media detox!
I love the community and the enthusiasm.
CIT prepared me for being a counselor by giving me the chance to work with campers during activity periods and spend time with a cabin and see what it's like being in a leadership position. It's also a nice chance to see some friends one last time as campers and get one more year as a camper while still having that CIT training.
My son had an amazing experience so much so he asked to extend his stay. He loves the counselors and has made great friends. Once he leaves he is always counting down the days to the next summer at Fairview.
Our girls continue to enjoy Laurel Ridge.
One comment as the girls get older....we did hear about vaping and pot at the camp. The girls told us that the CIT counselors were smoking pot. Also heard one girl in one of their cabins was sneaking out repeatedly after lights out to meet up with a boy by the lake. This is a big concern to us -- I recognize that as our kids get older, these will be issues that come up, but I'd like to discuss at some point before we send the kids back.
My son had great time at summer camp this year.
My daughter was angry that she had to come home. If that's not a testament to the experience, I don't know what is.
Camp was so much fun! I made so many friends, lots of memories, and lasting relationships. I highly recommend going to Fairview Lake YMCA Camps for Ranch Camp. The counselors are so energetic and make the time there so much fun.
the camp was amazing, the activities are amazing, counselors and staff in general amazing...
I love that my kid comes home full of stories, tired and content.
My son loves it so much. He's made friends that he stays in contact with all year long.
Best decision I've made pertaining my child's well being..
He talked non stop about all of the activities and experiences he's had while at your camp
My kid had an absolute blast. She just couldn’t say enough how much fun her week of taste of tradition was!
Fairview Lake is my daughter’s happy place. She looks forward to going all year and is always sad to leave. From sun up to sun down she has a blast every day and couldn’t love camp more. FVL gets a ten out of ten in our house!
My daughter has enjoyed multiple camp programs at Fairview Lake, but ETC (or now, ATC, although she preferred the ETC name) is her favorite. It is the most outdoorsy, which is a good fit for her, but the traditional camp would be better for kids who don't want to "rough it" as much.
My kids love Fairview Lake, and the Taste of Tradition program allowed my son to have the traditional camp experience even though he had a busy summer and couldn't have fit in three weeks of camp. Next year he wants to go for the full three weeks!

Happiness and Energy of staff to provide a wonderful experience for campers.
Evening activities were inclusive of all campers
