We feel our child is safe and well cared for
The staff at the Montrose YMCA Afterschool are incredible! My son is shy and has difficulty communicating which can lead to frustration and tantrums. The staff are all incredibly understanding and responsive to his needs. They come up with lots of activities to keep the kids engaged and having fun. They also seem to have consistent routines and systems so that children understand expectations. I love "Aftercare" days because he comes home happy and tired. What parent doesn't love a kid that falls asleep easily at bedtime?!
The program at Montrose is a game changer for our family. My daughter went to Montrose but was never able to get a spot in the aftercare program. Shuffling her to alternative aftercare was so challenging for us since both parents work full time. Thank you for making this program possible and for finding all the right people to run it!!

Very happy!
My son played on the 10U YMCA Ducks travel basketball for first time this winter and it was a great experience for him. I found Coach Juwan Sandiford to be a great coach for the boys; always with positive encouragement while also teaching strong fundamentals of the game in an ordered and efficient practice environment.
Tommy is very caring with the Teens. They do a lot of great activities for the community and the teens involved.

Tryouts and organization was a little disorganized but the coaches were great and my daughter had a great experience
I know that when I am working, my child is in a safe, secure place with friends and wonderful caretakers and I am able to focus entirely on getting my job done in time to pick him up and spend time with him. I don't have to have my brain in two places at once; my child is safe and happy and so am I, as a result.

The teachers and the times the centre is open
As a mom of two boys who have been at ECLC for the past three years, I really can’t imagine these early years anywhere else.
We've always felt that our boys are not just looked after, but truly known and loved. Their teachers care for them as if they were their own children and every day when we walk through the doors of the ECLC for drop off and pickup, it feels like a family atmosphere.
We’ve watched our boys grow in confidence and kindness, and they’ve formed such genuine friendships along the way while learning new skills that they're more than excited to tell us about when they get home!
We’re so grateful for the communication and support of the ECLC. It been such a special part of our family’s life, and we are incredibly thankful for the staff and teachers that look after our boys.

You can tell how much the teachers pour into their students and are truly invested in their learning experience and growth. I also love the creative lessons that give our child new language and encourage thought.

My child is just in daycare, not any other programs and definitely not in preschool or I would have filled this out earlier. We love our Y daycare teachers and know he's getting great care!

It feels like family. We have been supported, not just our daughter, as our lives have shifted and morphed over the last 2 years. I genuinely don’t know what we would have done if I didn’t have the peace of mind that my little girl was thriving. It has become an incredible source of community to us in our time of need and we will be forever grateful to the entire staff.

The YMCA daycare has helped us feel truly included in this community. We are immigrants, and this has meant the world to us. We will always be grateful to the entire team.
We love our experience at the Y! The teachers and support staff are so warm and friendly. My son always feels happy to be there, and sometimes asks to stay later! I like when free play and free drawing is encouraged over more prescriptive art projects which I think he's getting more of now. He likes having a job in the class and take pride in this. My only concern is that I wish toys and food treats weren't used as much as incentives.
My child is always proud and happy to report back what he did at gymnastics. It's a bright spot of his week!

I love their kindness, enthusiasm, readiness, patience, care and love they show to all the kids and families. They make sure they show undivided attention to all kids without exception, and they are extremily friendly even to family members. And let's not forget about their prompt organization (very organized facility from the moment you enter the main door to the going to pick up your child). Facility is safe and clean as well.
My daughter looks forward to attending cooking class
The care takers are very nice, funny and engaging with the kids. My daughter comes home telling me all the activities they did for the day and how they make her laugh. I like the variety they get in the activities they do and how they spread positivity and inclusivity. My daughter comes home saying Spanish phrases and sometimes other languages as well.
