Activities for the children and not just homework to do

My daughter loved her time at Camp Oratam this summer! She wants to return next year, which is always a good sign. I recommend this camp to friends and community members for its affordability, diversity, and time outdoors.

Our child had a wonderful experience this summer at Michigan’s. He loves being in the woods hiking and camping. This gave him 2 weeks to enjoy nature, expand his horizons with new activities and meet a wonderful group of kids. The counselors and staff were great with the kids. Highly recommended.

My daughter had an enriching experience and enjoyed making friends and having all of those new experiences like the sing alongs and the activities. The counselors were terrific.

Our daughter has had a great time for 3 years. Great counselors and people, lots of different activities, and very age appropriate. We've gone from 1 week to 2 weeks to 4 weeks each year, and next year she wants to go the whole summer. We're so happy we found Camp Michikamau.

Kids have loved it for about 4 summers! We have recommended to many friends and family. Last year, two families enrolled after our recommendation and this year one enrolled for 1 session coming up.

The staff at YMCA Greater Bergen County summer camps program are all friendly, courteous and highly professional. Would recommend to anyone.

My 11yo son had a fabulous time last year and this year! He loves the counselors and made new friends each time. (He also said the food is good!) He is really looking forward to the activities for next year already and he just got home three days ago! Our family really appreciates the quality of such an affordable overnight camp with great facilities and wholesome, stimulating fun!

Overall the Y has been a blessing for my daughter. This is her third year at Camp Michakauma and each year she has shown a tremendous amount of growth. Of course as a parent it’s harder for me than for her when she goes away- but overall- I know she’s ok, and I like the fact that the the core staff members have been there for years and seemed truly vested in making it a memorable experience for the campers.

The staff is great, very personable and friendly. They help my son anytime he needs help with his homework which is great since he struggles with this at times.

It was a pleasure being apart of ymca my son enjoy the moment from workers to just meet and greeting with other kids. Thank you for making it possible for parents who have no one to keep there kids due to work.

the hours of operation are great for working parent. I would love it even more if they were able to help the children with their homework. I was told that they only can make sure the homework gets done but not help them if they have questions.
