Great staff, fun activities in the lake!
The best thing about the YMCA is the staff! Hands down. They make you feel welcome and supported.
The place is never crowded when I'm there; I always have room to take a bike or treadmill, which is over 95% of what I do here. Staff are friendly and music isn't too loud in case you are listening to something on earphones/headphones.
Gail is a blessing to all.
I can walk there from home. The equipment is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is family friendly.
Friendly staff, clean equipment and facilities
The teachers for the group exercise classes are outstanding. They provide variations to adapt the exercises for the individual members, and show an interest in what they are doing.
I would like to see more variety in the group exercise classes in the evenings.
There should be access to rest rooms on the second floor. I wonder if it meets building code if there is no access to rest rooms. If someone gets a bloody nose they have to make their way to the first floor. The adult men's and women's bathrooms should be just that--open to adult men and women respectively. Members and/or swimmers should not be changing diapers on the stools in the bathroom; this is very unhealthy for the person who unknowingly sits on the stool after the diaper change. Members and/or swimmers should not be taking children through the adult dressing rooms. Adults who have had cancer don't want to be caught in states of undress with a child in the area. Adult members often change at home so they don't have to use the restroom because of this.
Some members are not dressed appropriately for exercise. They wear slides or grip socks for the weight lifting classes, risking accidents. When they do the classes barefoot, it is even worse! That happens rarely, but it has happened. Also, children attending the adult exercise classes--there should be clearer guidelines about which classes might be appropriate for younger children to attend.
Every single person I've met who works there has been welcoming and helpful - even at 5:00 am. It's the best value for the price I've seen - especially since my focus is lap swimming. The facility is well kept and I think it's an excellent community amenity.
I enrolled my grandson in the YMCA swimming classes, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. The instructors were patient, kind, and encouraging, helping him become more comfortable and confident in the water at his own pace.
They created a positive, supportive environment that made learning fun instead of intimidating. It was wonderful to watch his confidence grow with each lesson.
Thank you to the YMCA staff and swim instructors for your dedication and care. I truly appreciate everything you've done to help my grandson develop this important life skill. I highly recommend these swimming classes to any family looking for a safe, encouraging place for their children to learn to swim.
The group was small. The instructions were clear. Most days we could use the pool after lesson to practice. The swim and changing room were kept clean.
Awesome and supportive swim staff. Very helpful and skilled as well
Patient instructor.
Fun and friendly
Coaches are very patient and knowledgeable
Friendly staff
I love my senior class, the opportunity to make new friendships and the socialization
Friendly, great equipment, friends!
The people are all so kind and friendly. Child watch is 10/10. Parents night outs are amazing. I would love an additional box fan in the group x room upstairs with the summer heat during classes would be my only recommendation! Love this YMCA.
Convenient, clean facility, good instructors,...
We enjoy being a part of this Family where we meet new friends and stay fit.
It feels like family'. I have metvso many wonderful people at the Y.
Grata value and great experiences
Very friendly staff, clean environment and great equipment!
The classes offered, friendly and professional staff and fellowship where friends can gather and meet anew.
The summer session was a bit challenging due to the limited availability of only 20 swimmers per practice. I get off work at 5:00 p.m., and by the time I arrived at the YMCA, the spots were usually full. Since I live in Irving, driving to Cross Timbers wasn't the most practical option.
I do prefer the 7:00–8:00 p.m. practice time, but I completely understand the need for the earlier schedule for the Black level swimmers.
Thank you for making the schedule change!
I also wanted to say how much I appreciated how busy this summer was with swim meets. It was great to have more opportunities to compete compared to previous years, when there were only the Lone Star meet and one other meet.
Big Pool to practice and excellent coaches guiding swimmers to improve and enhance their strokes
The Coaches are very nice and give great opportunities to the kids.
Time of day, Schedule - 4 days of the week over a short period, teachers.
It is a safe and clean facility. Teachers are very friendly

Thanks for the summer camp ⛺️ for my kids
