Proximity to where I live.
All staff are friendly and inviting, especially the front desk where they greet you with a smile. There are so many activities for all the ages. The parking is never a problem and the hours of operation are convenient for everyone. I enjoy going every time.
Friendly atmosphere. Many different things to do.
I love that it's a family place, unlike your basic "fitness center." I see people of all ages and walks of life. I love the therapy pool and the many aquatics classes. Everyone at the front desk is truly willing to help.
I love the programs and activities offered for the Active Older Adults. Also the health education offered for pre- diabetics; Art classes offered at a discounted rate for Seniors is wonderful. Aqua Classes geared toward seniors such as the Arthritis water classes and land classes geared to the Active Older Adult are essential to me as a Senior that help maintain good health. I also enjoy the social activities for Seniors, such as, the luncheons for Valentines Day, Mothers Day, St. Patrick’s Day. Thanksgiving and Christmas, all priced at an affordable cost for Seniors on a limited income. I am so happy with my membership at Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA!
It's a friendly place, conveniently located, opened virtually all the time and with plenty of programs and facilities.
I love working with my trainer Jack He is attentive and makes sure I am safe and do a through work out and remember to STRETCH!
Programming
Good Facility but it needs to see if they adjust the time water facility is closed for two or more weeks! I only use the pool for health reasons so I can't do much when the pool is down!

Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA has something for everyone., classes, weight rooms, swimming and more. The staff is friendly and helpful and I always feel comfortable working out there. It’s a great facility.

Love Ron K's spin classes and drive 30 minutes to make them! Do wish the monthly membership fee was not as high as it is, otherwise it would be a 10.

I like this facility. It is clean, the personal is very helpful. I like the location and the size of the facility. They have lots of adequate equipment. I like that they have classes and child care Etc. I highly recommend this facility.
Staff are friendly and very helpful with a person with a disability
We like taking classes. The Art room has afforded us many great classes, and we especially enjoy taking lessons with Pualani, learning to hand build with clay.
East with its many programs, especially the AOA activities, has helped me maintain a full and balanced life. My "socialization" experience thru the Y has enabled me to develop quality relationships. The cardiac room and pin machines (circuit) have been beneficial in promoting overall health maintainance. We have a great staff from the membership team to the trainers and class leaders.
I am glad that we have programs that bring the challenged and underserved people into the Y.
I use the pool mostly and find the lap pool available and suits my needs.
The staff are wonderful and friendly especially to our specially abled son. Also, the degree that the staff will take in working with our son when unanticipated adjustments are required. The ears and openness of communication is very reassuring and useful.
