I appreciate the quality of the instructors...aqua, land fitness are my "go to". I also had a very positive with Susan as my trainer. All these experiences are uplifting.
As a retired person, I am able to go mostly to daytime weekday classes 4-5 days a week. This is helping me stay active and fit. I only live a couple of blocks from the Central YMCA so I feel grateful to have a fabulous resource in walking distance.
I only use the indoor pool for the water aerobics class on Fridays so I can't speak about any of the other programs. I do enjoy Carolina class very much. She makes exercise fun.
YMCA has everything I need for exercising my body and mind, as a oncologist patient, I feel so grateful for being part of this amazing place.

Swimming pools
I use the weight and cardio rooms with the occasional visit to the basketball court, so am not a utilizer of the specific programs. My wife really enjoys the cycling classes offered in the mornings and she makes a point of getting there a couple of times per week. We had the kids in swim and basketball programs when they were young, and it was a great building block for their enthusiasm for sports and outdoor activities later in life.

Water Aerobics 6-7 am Monday and Wednesday
The indoor lap swim and rec swim!!! This is why I belong to the YMCA :)
Very friendly atmosphere
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Their machines were fun and sturdy to work out on, and the in door pool was nice and warm. I took my 10 year old daughter to swim with me.

There is something for everyone.
I only go to two classes these days - meditative yoga and barre with Bella, and use the pool.
I wish there was a salsa style dance/exercise class!

Group exercises and swimming are the services that I enjoy most at the Y and why I still have a membership.
