I will first say that, since it is luck of the draw for a walk in client such as myself, I have not always experienced great service or haircuts at various Floyd’s locations. What I can say about the lake forest location is that if it was not for Jennifer, I wouldn’t go back. I was a walk in, I travel for business so it’s not always easy to schedule, but Jennifer was available. I’m incredibly picky about my hair and i came prepared with photos and reference so nervous for another cut my wife would fix for me when I got home. Not this time. Jennifer totally listened to me, repeated in barber terms what I was asking for, she gave me suggestions and a game plan and she went for it. Best haircut I’ve had in 5 years. Easily. I went back yesterday and I’ll be back in two more weeks to see her. She’s single handedly renewed my faith in Floyd’s. For real.

I am a trans man and finding places where I feel comfortable and safe is very rare. When I come into Floyd’s, I’m always welcomed and respected. Everyone used my pronouns and name. I feel extremely comfortable and happy. Ash is my barber and they always help me to have the best experience. Super friendly and professional. They always make sure to give me the exact haircut I want and show me how to style it. This, to me, is very gender affirming. Thank you all for your hard work and respecting trans people like me.
