I have struggled to find a cosmetologist that will or can cut my short hair the way I like. So I jumped from hair stylist over to a barber. I’ve tried a barber in castle rock and 2 or 3 different barbers from Floyd’s and wasn’t happy. The cuts weren’t bad haircuts, but it was not what I asked for. So 2 Fridays ago I was in the springs to see my Dr. (I live in Canon City), and had put off and was dreading to get my haircut. It had been 3-4 months since my last hsircut, but decided to roll the dice and be a walk-in at your branch. I won the “barber lotto” with MARIA! MARIA listened to what I was saying and specifically asking for with how I wanted my haircut ! I believe one of the most important parts of getting your hair done in any salon or Barbershop , is the consultation (before scissors, razors, or clippers even touch your hair)! I was taught that when I went to HORST Cosmetology School in Minneapolis (now called AVEDA). It was the first AVEDA school in the USA. I’ve tried between 25-30 different stylist/barber, but was not happy at all, that is until I was fortunate or lucky enough to land in MARIA’S barber chair! MARIA was the first barber at Floyd’s to put the hot towel on my neck after my haircut, ask questions if she didn’t understand, look at pictures of the style I wanted! Maria has a natural gift as well as her natural gift of creativity! Thank you Maria! I’ll see you at my scheduled appointment April 11th. 🤗
