My son is almost 9 years old, but has a head full of thick hair that I was at my wits end trying to figure out how to manage. After sitting down with him, we found a hairstyle we both agreed we thought would look good, and made an appointment at Floyd’s Barbershop, our first time not going to a kid’s haircut place. We were immediately greeted when we walked in, and taken back for the hair cut. His hair stylist was not only accommodating to me and his baby sister, but even encouraged us to be a part of the experience. She was friendly, listened and asked questions for him to answer, and when we left I was almost in tears with how well she treated us. My son was ecstatic, saying it’s the best hair cut he has ever had. We showed off to our family, and I can’t remember the last time he smiled so hard from a hair cut experience. What used to be difficult has become something he is excited to do again. I can’t thank Floyd’s Barbershop, the culture in the building, and our hair stylist enough for how they made us feel.

We have lucked out with some really wonderful stylists for my teen son. Ke'Aria and Dawson are both awesome. They really know what is cool and help him feel at ease. Not only do they give him a great cut, but they talk him through options, tell him the truth about what is not so cool, and then even show him how to style it! Plus they are just nice and fun to talk to. I really appreciate it as a mom. I also have gone for my own hair cuts - it's a great option when I need a quick booking and have never had a bad experience.

I like the atmosphere. It's laid back and everyone is nice. I feel like I'm in a good space and they will listen to my hair requests and do their best to do what I was looking for. Great little barber shop!

Dawson is phenomenal and never fails to make us feel like the most important people in the room. My son refuses to go to anyone else and that is because Dawson makes our experience like none other. His haircut always comes out amazing and very clean and fresh looking and Dawson always recommends the best products for both of our hair.

I love how welcoming and helpful the stylists are. It is such a safe place with great music. Dawson is the best! He is such a beautiful soul and welcomes me with a big hug and we chat it up while getting my hair cut.
