Our kids love coming in to do math. They would come every day if they could. That's how much fun and confidence they get from learning math here. We are so thankful for each and every instructor at the center!
A welcoming and supportive environment with thoughtful and encouraging math coaches. The kids have incentives, like earning “cards” when certain goals are met. They can then use the cards to buy some really cute and special treats like jewelry, stuffies, stickers, etc. They make it a fun setting for the kids to learn!
This program appears to be helping my grandson with 5th grade math. His parents and I feel he will be better prepared when he starts middle school this Fall.
Super helpful staff. Help answer all our questions and set out an appropriate learning plan for our son. Fun content and process that makes him feel successful and learning what he needs to at the same time.
My son went from feeling bad about his math abilities and not wanting to try Mathnasium to asking when he could go again within the first week. He felt successful and proud of the points he earned. Feeling successful motivated him to keep going. His teacher says he is on level at school and his math scores have improved. We love Mathnasium & have referred a couple of friends.
Love the program, but the cost may be a barrier for some families.
We have had a wonderful experience at Mathnasium for a few years now. All the staff we have encountered have given the kids well-received feedback. Both kids enjoy going. I wish the center were open one additional day, like Saturday. Overall, I give this center 10/10 because it has boosted my kid's self-esteem and their math scores have soared.
We sought help when our child started saying ‘I’m bad at math. I hate math.’ Now, she walks out of Mathnasium saying, ‘That was fun!’ The staff at SE Mathnasium are fantastic, kind, supportive, and motivating. Our family is grateful for the energy and care they put into helping kids find confidence and enjoyment in math.
The drop-in style is key! Our schedules change every few months with different sports schedules, summer camps, etc. It is SO NICE to just be able to adjust our Mathnasium schedule to suit our needs.
My daughter's confidence has blossomed! She told me the other day that now *she* is the kid in her class that helps explain math to her friends.

One of my kids was having challenges with math in school and since her participation in mathnanasium she has had a complete turn around. She enjoys math, she is able to engage in math cognitive tasks for long periods of time and asks to work on math at home. My second daughter enjoys math and this program has been enriching for her to work at her own pace as she meets many of the grade level expectations. Absolutely a great fit for helping our child's confidence. They are already in compacted middle school math, but just needed some more practice. They love it, and we love the results.
My 4th grader was welcomed with the utmost respect and encouragement from the get-go. The initial assessment was on point with the teacher’s concerns, and they’ve directly worked on those goals. The positive feedback they provide really helps my kiddo stay motivated, but also excited and even happy to go? Truly. Thumbs up.
Mathnasium has been great for both our second and fifth graders. They are both behind in where they should be at school math, and they are now making great strides in catching up. AND they both enjoy going - wins all around!

Jonah is progressing steadily, and his development is carefully tracked and communicated at home. I am getting more communication from Mathnasium than his teacher at school regarding his level and what he is working on. Jonah is enthusiastic about attending Mathnasium, and Jeff is always welcoming and cheerful. I always see the instructors having fun with him. Before Mathnasium Jonah did not do mental math, now he does and is very confident.
Every single instructor at Sellwood Mathnasium is amazing. They have tailored my child’s learning plan to foster her strengths and highlight the areas needing growth. She actually LIKES attending, and her confidence has grown. We love Jeff and the team!
The staff at Mathnasium in Moreland have been amazing to work with! They share in the excitement with my son when he shows improvements and are patient with him when he needs extra help. He started a grade level below where he should be and is now caught up and beyond in just under a year of attending.
Mathnasium has completely changed Lila's view of math. She loves math now, she is happy to go to Mathnasium sessions, and her standardized scores continue to improve. We are very grateful to the wonderful staff!

My child has been learning at Mathnasium for 1.5 years. The pandemic really put her in a hole, mathematically. ALL of the staff at the Sellwood location are kind, informative, knowledgable, and tailor learning plans specific to my child. She’s made big strides, both in skill and confidence.
