Group exercise classes are fantastic!
Welcoming & encouraging staff. Nice sense of community. Lots of nice members. Good facilities. (Studio B could be a tad bigger.)
I enjoy the trainers for the classes & gym equipment. I just wish there was more space upstairs and the equipment not so close(when it gets really busy , I like my personal space). I would like to request that we get a bar class(ballet ), Pilates & a body builder trainer.
There's something for everyone at the YMCA. I like the freedom to pursue whatever I feel like on a particular day.
The Y gives age appropriate classes and times available for seniors. The instructors are good and accommodating for what the class needs. They are thoughtful, attentive, helpful and good at what they do. I really enjoy my time at the Y. Great environment!
Everything
There are different events and activities offered throughout the year for various ages, abilities, and interests.
I’m new but I like everything
Variety of group exercise classes
I like how much diversity in equipment is available along with a track. It’s always wonderful to be there in the early morning hours and be able to use everything that you want to use.
Everything
The instructions, members, staff. I’d suggest that the instructors while teaching the different exercises also emphasize where in the body we should feel the muscle working out.
All of the Y personal are very friendly and helpful. I like the flexibility of the activities that are available.
I like it because it is closed to me and I can come in the morning
Accessible and affordable for family.
Friendly staff; clean, and enjoy the second floor track!
Great way to keep your body moving at your own pace and convience.
Mostly are all family friendly, and fun
Water Fitness and chair yoga, stretching classes
Lots of various programs and activities for all.
The track is the best of all of them! Good straight run! Lots of activities!
have not participated in any programs. just like to workout
Water aerobics
Due tithe rise of children with autism and that are on the spectrum, it would be nice to subs programs, classes, events etc with children that are neurodivergent. I have 2 young bius ages 4 and 2 that are on the spectrum and unfortunately the YMCA OrthoIndy does not have programs for them. It would hair be nice if it did as I live directly that YMCA and have even a member for over a decade.
I love the YMCA and as times change so have increased diagnoses of neurodivergence and it would be appreciated for something to include them.
Thank you for your time and reading my message. First name removed R.
I enjoy the water aerobics, the friendship I have made while attending, the happen stance meeting up with the people I have not seen in a long time and the facility in general.
Walking track
I haven't tried any programs/activities. I just come in the morning and work out. But unfailingly, it is clean, bright and the front desk is cordial even at 6:30 a.m. I appreciate so much having a place to work out that I can come to and then leave. The deciding factor for me was the angel trees and the Salvation army unwrapped gifts bin; I was able to gift 4 angel trees and one unwrapped gift for the SA. That makes me feel still vibrant and needed.
Very friendly staff. Cleanliness of facilities. Modern and updated workout equipment.
Love the indoor trace and the pool!!!

Every class makes me feel welcome. I like the various classes and the time frames they are offered.
