Yesterday was my 13 yr old daughter’s 1st swimming class. Can’t recall the instructions tors name, but she taught teen/adult class at 7:30 pm. I appreciated the instructor’s patience, pleasant demeanor, one-on-one attention to each of her students & how she came over to me after class to give me feedback as to my daughter’s strengths & weaknesses. She was so encouraging, positive & lighthearted.

I love the staff. The pool is huge and everything is always clean. Great program for beginners.

The program was great the only problem I had was that one of the girls didn’t seem to enjoy her job as an instructor !

Instructors are very patient & diligent with the children.

The instructors are well trained, and the YMCA swim lesson structure is a tried and true method for developing water safety skills and swimming skills in children. The staff are great with kids and my son has learned so much and gained so much confidence since he began taking lessons.

I like the time that spent with the children. The instructor is really nice!

Instructors are awesome

This was our first time coming to the Petersburg ymca and everyone was so great. The front desk helped us to where we needed to go and the facility was so clean. The swim instructors were very friendly and so great with the kids. I was very impressed how they handled everything especially with kids that are a little scared for their first lesson. So happy to have such a great facility nearby!

The aquatic director is awesome. Gives great advice and patience with the children. Explains that safety first is the main priority but having fun is another priority. Will be recommending to all my families friends.

The basketball programs have been awesome at all locations. We are trying the new gymnastics and are excited to try something new.

Friendly staff and a reasonable price even if not a member. Love how staff keeps encouraging my child despite his crying and reluctance at first. He really enjoyed himself by the end.

The friendliness of the staff

The instructions are very kind. My girls have learned more in two classes than they have in 2 months with their other lesson. I really like seeing how confident they are becoming.

My child had a great time at the parent/Child swim class. His instructor Kim did an amazing job of engaging the children and incorporating water safety!

I liked it from the moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately and given direction on where to go etc. The director of the swimming program was very friendly and informative. The swim instructors are gentle and take the time to let my child warm up.

I called from Pennsylvania to register my granddaughter for swim lessons. The girl walked me through the registration process and was extremely kind and patient. My granddaughter and her parents are loving the Petersburg facility and are planning on becoming family members!

The preschool swim lessons have been wonderful for my two children. They are learning and having fun. We love our instructor and felt welcomed our first day. We have already signed up for the next session.

The class size is great. Each kid have sufficient time with the trainer.
