I have been going to Garbo since 2010 and they never disappoint. Place ambience, associates, services, everything is always perfect.
I no longer live in Austin and I still drive. from Dallas to Austin to go to Garbo salon and get my hair taking care by Rosalba.

What did you like most about your salon experience?

Crystal and the entire crew/Garbo family are excellent at all the services they provide to their customers. The extra touches like beverages, scalp massages are a bonus when I need it most. I usually come in to "tame the mane" and then I am transformed into an amazing, lovely lady getting compliments all day long. Thanks so much for keeping it professional and pleasant.

Jenn Newlin is so great! She's been cutting my curly hair for about 7 years now and has always done a great job. Now I'm getting grays and she's helping me gradually work into some highlights. I had my second appt this week, and she did an awesome job. My hair has natural looking highlights like I had in high school.

I recently had a facial with Marina Elizalde ...

OMG! It was so amazing, so relaxing, I wished I had scheduled 90 min instead of just an hour. Next time I might schedule 90 min at the end of the day because I can't think of a better way to destress!

I did not expect all that came with the facial, including foot bath/massage, neck/shoulder/hand massage too!

The staff is friendly, you feel welcome the moment you enter the salon. You are offered something to drink and the atmosphere is very cheerful and relaxed. I not only enjoyed my facial, I enjoyed talking with the staff as well, there was no feeling of being rushed, you get the feeling of being valued as a customer. I highly recommend this salon and have referred my friends as well.

I like that my stylist Gina is really good at cutting my hair so that the curls are optimized and the style really suits me. I also like that she’s low-key. She’s fine with silence and also interested in my life - a great combination!

Attentive, kind, and welcoming staff. Super relaxed atmosphere. The shampoo area has intentionally dimmed lighting which made for an anxiety just melt away. Jen is great!
