Visiting an Oncology Center for the first time is a very stressful experience.
The apprehension, the unknown and the fear, all heightens as the patients and their families get closer to their appointment.
From the moment you stepped off the elevator, you realized that this was not a regular medical office. The calm and the lighting stand out most. It did not necessarily ease all your fears but it did cause a pause. Your focus changed from your situation, to a different environment than expected. This took the stress level down a notch and opened you to this might be different than what I expected.
All the office personal were friendly and accommodating. They made banter, again taking your mind off your situation. There was not long walt in any area and not a lot of time to rumiante in your fears.
All information provided was excellent. All questions were answered and time was taken to see you as a person. Printed information was also provided to reinforce the discussion. A plan was established, which was complicated. Your plan was gone over a few times so you could digest the steps and kinda understand. The office would set up everything for you and guide you through the process. There would always be a LIVE person to respond to any of your inquires. Doctor Cox and the staff gave you the confidence that they were looking out for you and you would be in good care. Definitely a good experience for a bad situation.

Dr. Cox will put any concerns to rest which you may have regarding radiation therapy. He has an extremely impressive background in this field of medical practice, and will take whatever time is needed to explain details of radiation therapy to his patients.
The supporting staff are the best; they are kind, cheerful, patient and completely competent. All men starting therapy have a little fear or at least apprehension; the compassionate staff will put your mind at ease!
