We were at a dead end with my daughter she would not go to school due to her math anxiety. I called Mathnasium Kelowna and Alana set up an evaluation. I can hardly believe it has been a month and our daughter goes willingly and comes out happy@ I even found her at the kitchen table helping her sister with math homework. My children, ages 6 and 8 started with the Mathnasium summer program and loved it. They looked forward to every lesson. We decided to continue after summer and switched to the online platform to fit our schedule.

The in-centre and online instructors are friendly, patient, approachable and helpful. The program is personalised to each learner's abilities and areas that require further development. New concepts and levels are introduced as they master existing concepts, building upon a strong foundation. We've witnessed continued and steady growth over the past 6 months.

As a parent I find value in the progress reports from Mathnasium. I see my children apply the skills and strategies learned at Mathnasium when they are faced with problems or formats of questions they've not seen before. They enjoy math and and over time became increasingly confident in their math abilities.

I was thrilled when I spoke with our 11 year old daughter’s teacher during a parent/teacher interview recently… He talked about our daughter faring well in all her subjects, but said he had noticed a dramatic increase in her confidence in performing and solving math problems. He commented that she had a number of different strategies and ‘tools’ available to help when she became a little stuck or unsure. Yaaay!

Our daughter started with Mathnasium in Kelowna in early August of this year. She has always struggled a little with math. She has NEVER balked at going to her tutoring sessions - the staff are so good at instructing, encouraging and motivating her. She’s truly happy to go and always upbeat and feeling accomplished when we pick her up. A most worthwhile investment!

Mathnasium did a wonderful job of preparing out son for a grade skip and for engaging him in higher level thinking.

We sought out Mathnesium in Kelowna as we wanted our daughter to improve her math skills. After a few months she has started to radiate confidence with her ability to understand Math and use it in her daily life. The time spent at the end of each lesson completing a Math game allows her to walk away with feeling happy and excited about Math and looks forward to coming to her next lesson.

My husband and I are constantly raving about the turnaround in our son’s outlook on math. At the beginning of school, the very basic math question were easy for my son to grasp, but as things got a little more complex (grade 2) my son began to get frustrated and discouraged. As he struggled, I was flooded with my own memories of confusion and failures in math and knew it resulted in my own academic insecurity. I got through school by memorization and was envious of students that actually understood math. I wanted something different for my son. I looked into various tutor resources, but became discouraged by the feedback I got from parents. I heard Mathnasium was different and booked for a consultation. I was so impressed with the fun and friendly atmosphere and the strategic methods used to engage and build confidence. They teach the students in a variety of different ways, which builds a strong understanding of the concepts being taught. As parents, we are so thrilled at the change in self-assurance, understanding and pride our son has towards math. My son speaks so highly of Mathnasium and comes out the door with a smile on his face after each session! The price seemed high compared to other local programs, but it has definitely been worth the investment!

My daughter is really enjoying Mathnasium. Her confidence is math is increasing and she loves the tutors. The ability to work on some of the math from school is also helpful. She is no longer worried about falling behind in math when she starts middle school in September.

We love Mathnasium and are so thrilled to have found a place and team where our daughter is comfortable and motivated to learn! She is happy to go to each session and likes how the program is set up. She was so excited to get 6/6 on a recent math quiz and we can 100% say that it was because of Mathnasium!

I have three elementary kids enrolled at Kelowna Mathnasium's online program. The tutors have been wonderful. They are able to keep the kids engaged. They speak English well and are able to explain and teach effectively. The Mathnasium curriculum/program is great! It speaks to the way the kids learn. My youngest is now fluent in addition and subtraction, and my older two love that they don't have homework and that the program does not drill the same problems over and over, like other math programs they have enrolled in. The administrator at Kelowna Mathnasium has been terrific with gauging all three kids' abilities and keeping me abreast of their progress.

Since my daughter started working with the Mathnasium team, she feels maths are really enjoyable. She actually says this is the first time she feels more confident at school and happy to help all the time her friends there! And she always says: ‘Mom, it’s my mathnasium time, please don’t forget about it’

I am blown away by the fact my son is telling his friends about Mathnasium! Thank you for instilling a positive attitude towards Math. I can’t imagine in a million years bragging about Math in any capacity - so this speaks volumes to me!

Since joining Mathnasium, my son has a renewed interest in math and his grades have already improved. He is always excited to go there which is down to the amazing team making him feel welcome and helping make math a fun learning experience. I would highly recommend their services!

My daughter has had a great experience with Mathnasium Kelowna thus far. She always looks forward to going each week. She has been doing great and stays focused for the whole hour because the teachers make learning fun!

Mathnasium has been a extremely great experience for both my daughter and I. I find Mathnasium and all there employees very kind, pleasant and most of all helpful!

When my daughter started back in Nov she took the assessment. The results were shocking to me. I had no idea that she had fallen so far behind. It broke my heart to hear this. Thankfully Alana made me feel hopeful, and reassured me that they would do everything they could to get my daughter back on track.

I am pleased to say that they did exactly that!! Her math level has increased greatly, and she is now starting to feel more confident with her math skills. Thank you all so much!!!! I would recommend Mathnasium 100% 🙂

Mathnasium has already been a great help for our 10 year old daughter and it's only been a couple months. Our daughter has a new perception of math and actually enjoys attending classes where as previously she dreaded anything math related. The teachers are super great with the kids and have a great approach to not make the kids feel bad about not knowing the right answer all the time. The rewards cabinet is also a pretty great perk that gets our daughter excited to complete as much math sheets as she can each time and staying focused. Eye on the prize : ) Lots more to brag about too but if you are looking for a math tutoring service, I would definitely check Mathnasium out.
