Angie and Avante at the Menlo Park- Palo Alto center have been incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions. I really appreciate the time they take to explain the approach and keep us informed about our daughter’s progress.
Most importantly, our daughter genuinely seems to enjoy the environment and the tutors. She feels comfortable there, which makes a big difference. In just the three weeks she’s been attending, I can already see her confidence growing.

My daughter who generally doesn’t like math does look forward to going to Mathnasium classes. Yet to see improvements in her test results in school. Giving it a month or two but so far so good.
We have seen Tatym demonstrate thorough understanding of math since she started with mathnasium and she has been doing very well in school. We also appreciate the flexibility of integrating some of her school's curriculum at mathnasium to help prepare for her upcoming placement test (thanks Ezekiel!). Tatym also enjoys working with her tutor Mariia whenever she gets assigned to her and feel that they have a very good rapport. Thanks for your support mathnasium!
I enrolled my son in August 2025 to build a stronger foundation for Math. One of the strengths of our local Mathnaseium center is their flexibility with customized curriculum building. Conferences can be set up for parents to check in on progress and discuss any concerns. I like that there are incentives (prizes) for the student to do “x” amount of pages of math per session. My son has built a good relationship with the the personnel at the learning center.
Opportunities for the center would be more careful examination of the final answers. I have found some discrepancies in my sons’ answers to some problems where he said his instructor said they were correct, but they were not. I do personally believe in mastering a concept vs number of pages completed (ie quality over quantity).
Overall, Mathnaseium provides a positive environment for learning under friendly staff. There also has been objective improvement in my son’s math scores which indicates the two - 60 minute sessions per week is effective. For parents who struggle to sit down with their child(ren) to do math, I do recommend Mathnaseium as an alternative.

We are extremely pleased with Mathnasium. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. The tutors connect with each child regardless of age and grade level. Our granddaughter looks forward to attending tutoring and has never complained about going.

I was pleasantly surprised with the breadth and depth of knowledge of the tutors at mathnasium… Even though most are relatively young, they really take the time to assist in a manner where my child excels at learning and retention.
Mathnasium not only taught my child the concepts they missed in school, but also gave them confidence. To our surprise they always wanted to go and now they even like math.
Wanting to give our 8 year old some additional mathematics learning to augment and expand on his school studies we had tried another math learning center Kumon and another mathnasium center in the area and almost gave up as they were not the best experience but we decided to look into the Scotts valley location and it has been great! From the way it's run, to the feed back and updates we receive to the instructors and center directors Lydia and Bryan and been great as well. Best of all our son goes willingly! I would definitely recommend!
We’ve had a wonderful experience at Mathnasium. As a parent, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement not only in my child’s math skills but also in confidence. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly care about each student’s progress.
What I appreciate most is the personalized learning plan, it fills gaps while also challenging them at the right level. Highly recommend to any parent looking for structured and supportive math help!

Both my son and my daughter have used Mathnasium's services. It has been a God send for our family. We are average at math, and so having people able to explain everything is wonderful. The kids enjoy going, especially because they are being tutored by younger tutors. I would definitely recommend it!!!

Mathnesium has a very simple way of teaching complex Math concepts which helps students easily understand and apply them for problem solving. Teachers are well trained and consistent. My middle school kid who otherwise hated Math enjoys learning in Mathnesium. Flexible timings are a unique feature which allows busy parents to work around their office schedules without compromising the tutoring hours.
My girls love going ro Mathnasium and I have seen a real difference in their confidence when it has to do with math. As part of the Classical Conversations homeschool community, I have been highly recommending Mathnasium. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford it, especially with multiple children.
The tutoring staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching skills. Beyond this, the team encourages and makes math fun and approachable for all. They are vested in the students growth and development.
