This year was a very pleasant experience. I have enrolled my child in YMCA summer camp for 3 years now and by far this year has been the best. Mrs. Washington was wonderful to have around. Her dedication and professionalism shows in every interaction. I will surely continue to use the summer camp and recommend it.
I was thoroughly pleased with the YMCA Northside Summer Camp. My kid participated in a range of activities each week including swimming, arts and crafts, archery, and various sports. He loved going to camp each day, and he has already expressed that he will miss it. The counselors were amazing, as well. I have zero complaints, and I would recommend this camp to any parent.
My daughter came home happy and loved sharing. You could tell the camp counselors really cared about the kids.

Great programd and nice counselors
The staff have done an incredible job this summer. The leadership are some of the best I have seen in YMCA camp. I have been happy to drop off my son every day knowing he is going to have fun, be safe and learn something new. Big shout out to swim instructors too. Such a huge part of summer camp and we are grateful for the confidence our son has in the water because of camp swim lessons.
To sum up what I love about Camp Braveheart: Everything! The children are kept clean, cool, hydrated and dry, a very difficult thing for any parent, especially in the summer heat and when water activities are involved. The children swim every day, the most important physical activity for them to know for their own safety. My daughter is 5 years old and has gone from not being able to swim away from the edge of the pool, not being able to tread water, and not being able to swim to the bottom of the pool to swimming 40’ across from one side of the pool to the other unassisted, treading water, and swimming 4.5 feet down to the bottom of the pool to grab toys. I drop her off on the playground and pick her up from the playground every day. The pickup is very easy and efficient. The perimeter of the playground is secure with a fence and gates, and camp counselors manage all access points. About the staff: The greatest group of people you can imagine, all of them trained and hyper focused on the care, safety, and well being of my child. My child calls me and her mom by her camp counselor’s name by accident in the evenings. She absolutely loves the counselors, and I am so grateful that they care for her every day. I could write a book of gratitude about every aspect of this camp. One important thing to note: it is up to me as a parent to provide a clean and dry swimsuit and towel, a full change of proper clothes, a healthy lunch and additional snacks to the ones that the camp provides each and every day. This makes for an uninterrupted and unforgettable day of newly discovered fun. These are essential to help the counselors thrive in being able to focus on not only safety and security, but fun, adventure, engagement, and pure joy.
I would recommend Camp Braveheart to any parent.

Excellent! Staff are very professional. The days are structured with lots of art activities and outdoor time with swimming instruction EVERYDAY day. My child learned to swim thanks to YMCA summer camp! Thank you!

It was a diverse group of kids and my son loved all the different activities this summer camp had to offer. I was thoroughly impressed with how the supervision and staff had excellent attention to all kids as well as their organization. With the number of kids that attended overall the staff dis an amazing job!
