Planet Fitness's re-opening announcement email this week didn't mentioned anything about masks. Although of course masks are unpleasant, and I haven't yet actually seen how the gym will be ensuring that social distancing will be maintained, I believe I will be uncomfortable returning to the gym if patrons and staff are not wearing masks.
