The program is well organized. There are lots of activities. Homework time is included. Staff is friendly and very approachable.

Inside walking your dance classes being able to get in the water and do my own legs exercises!
I think the programs here are great. I have a neurodegenerative disease with almost no function in either arm or hand, but I am able to take advantage of the personal training program to keep my lower body and core in pretty good shape and my trainer has put together a personalized program for me. This followed a three session introduction.
I haven't yet taken advantage of the pool, but hope to at some point.

Friendly and helpful staff, large pool with lifeguards, and welcoming by other members. It's a small facility, but has everything you need.

Working with a personal trainer has enabled me to safely work towards my goals, while learning how to correctly set the machines up to for my needs. Kelvin Bowden is nothing short of outstanding. He is extremely professional, while being equally supportive, motivating and friendly. His first-hand knowledge of every muscle in the human body is amazing. What I have learned under his guidance will serve me well as I continue on my own.
I go to one of your personal trainers at Ragsdale YMCA , Christine. She is wonderful.
She takes the time to hear your stories about what you can and can not do physically . She sets up a program just for you. I go to her twice a week and we do all the exercises I can do. She was recommend to me by a neighbor and I will do the same. She is very professional and knowledgeable and I enjoy my workouts now (something I usually didn't like)
I was treated with respect for my individual needs. The trainer was positive and encouraging. I did get stronger and more flexible. My balance improved.

As a participant I loved the class. I’d had spinal fusion in April and though I couldn’t stand or bend during class I was able to stand on my knees and adapt exercises to benefit me. My balance and strength improved. As an employee who works in the Wellness Center I told whoever I could about the class especially during tours of the Y.
Pool is very clean, Deb who does Silver Sneakers aqua aerobics on Wed. is good teacher. But SS app doesn't have Ragsdale Y down as offering this class.
Most staff very friendly except occasional young woman at check-in seems to be always on her phone looking down. Jessica who does SS yoga on Wed. also very good.

You have everything that we might need or want to participate in to get in shape or be active except for tennis courts...but no expectation

It's a great schedule and it is open to all families.
