Truly the Heart of the Community – JMFC YMCA Delivers Excellence!
JMFC YMCA is hands down one of the best community centers I've ever experienced. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're welcomed with genuine warmth and a sense of belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere. The staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and always ready to help – whether you’re a first-timer or a long-time member.
The facility itself is top-notch: clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed to accommodate people of all ages and fitness levels. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the variety of classes—from yoga and spin to strength training and aquatics—is impressive. There’s truly something for everyone here.
What really sets JMFC YMCA apart is its commitment to community. They offer youth programs, family activities, and outreach initiatives that make a real difference. You can feel the impact they have—not just physically, but emotionally and socially as well.
Whether you're looking to get fit, meet new people, or simply be part of something positive, JMFC YMCA is the place to be. I can’t recommend it enough.

Availability of such a variety of programs. Excellent instructors, Jenny and Simon in particular in my time with the Y. Enjoy the opportunity to swim with my young grandson on the weekends.
I havent had the opportunity to experience much as of yet but we are super excited to have this as a option for family nights

Swimming pool is great. And the members 18+ locker room is great too. There was a woman with her toddler and young daughter that snuck in about a week-ish ago. This woman was BREAST FEEDING in the hot tub. I don't know how the YMCA employees found out she was in the 18+ locker room, but a female employee walked in after some time and basically told the member that her membership does not include the use of that locker room. The member (lied in my opinion), said that there was no hot water in the family room and the employee was very firm but professional and stood her ground by saying it has been fixed and gently reminded the woman that she still does not have access to the 18+ locker room. Very great employees, in this day and age, everyone is afraid of conflict but many rules need to be enforced. That female employee did a fantastic job, good for her! I hope she gets some recognition!
Availability. No membership needed

Wish they were every night !
I think the aquafit is very helpful for those that have joint pain! The instructors I've had in the last few weeks (Paul and Jenny) are great!
I prefer work out on my own schedule and time. All programs are very good.
Newer equipment than Petrolia. Not usually crazy busy and usually room in classes.
I love that lane swim is available all day.
I enjoy the friendliness of staff and Y members as well as opportunities to build new friendships. The spin classes, fitness centre, and pickleball groups have all been Fun. The Y also offers a number of fitness, dance, and aquatics classes, so there are lots of options.
Loving open swim to take my little one during the winter and I really love the child minding program so I can still go to the gym which has been a huge help with post partum
