Friendly and quick customer service!
We were able to have a tech come and look at our system within just a few days after it went out on a weekend. He was courteous and helpful, got us running and scheduled some follow-up maintenance. We were very pleased to learn that the equipment and service warrantees from the previous owners were carried over.

Trust. In the past 6 years of owning our house they have been our providers. The previous owners of our house had standard heating & air install the furnace. I had some issues with the blower a few years back when it was -20. Our neighbor works for a local competitor, I attempted to call them, but they wouldn’t come out due to having to many customers (2Phone number removed). I called standard and they made it work to come out that way since we were considered a reoccurring customer. They showed up on time and adjusted the blower and was under warranty. They could have charged me and would not have blinked an eye. Had them put a couple of times for routine maintenance and tune up. Techs are knowledgeable, personable and don’t treat us like we are dumb, but ensure we know what is best for our system. Last year had them install a new ac. The sales guy was easy to work with and was understanding when I had to put the project out for 6 months due to a sewer line collapse (little higher priority). He was not pushy and actually looked at our entire system (every room for ducts and returns) unlike the sales guy at HD who didn’t even look at my furnace or ducts and was $3,000 higher which was most likely for a bigger unit I didn’t need. This past week we had an odd noise coming from our ac unit (condenser). Original service date was going to be 3 days out, but was put on the list to call if there is a cancellation or room available. Ended up calling and coming out the next day (two days early). All warranty work again and was a simple switch that needed to be replaced.
Long story short; they are easy to work with, show up on time and I don’t feel like I am being cheated.

Great service over the many years we have been with you.
The latest project had some hiccups during the sales and scheduling process, but the installation day went well, except for the ecobee thermostat. It continues to be problematic, despite great efforts by Standard staff to fix it. It's the device itself, and we will be requesting replacement with a simpler device that accurately senses and displays the temperature. The heat pump itself has thus far made our home more comfortable. Very happy with that.

The technician was also friendly and very efficient. He fixed my problem in no time at all and had our air conditioner back up and running.
Reduce prices
Every person that I have dealt with at Standard has been so nice. Very courteous and willing to help at all hours. To the person on the phone who is trying to get someone out to my house as soon as possible to get the air up and running to the technicians who come and work on the appliances. This last time the tech was very informative and did everything possible to get the old air conditioner back to working understanding that I did not have the money for the new one at this point in time. He explained what he was doing and laid out options on what I could do to save some money if I decided to get a new air conditioner.
When people ask if anyone has a HVAC company they would recommend Standard is always the company I recommend.

Very quickly responded to our AC break-down, they were honest and were able to install the new system just a couple days later.
I feel that the technicians were careful, efficient and answered any questions.

Better communication. We went with Standard despite bumps in the contract process. We did not know that the new ventilation outside of the house would be so disruptive. It looks horrible. When cutting holes in the stucco of the house it is good to give people a heads up. We also don’t know that the drain would require cutting into our soffits. I will repair but a heads up would have been nice. Also no communication about complications of auto fill boiler. And no warning about having to schedule an electrical inspection within 2 weeks. We really don’t know if everything works properly because the heat isn’t needed yet.
All areas: service, sales, installation. I was pleased with every aspect.

Standard Heating and Air was the only one of the four companies I had out that actually went room to room to be sure of the correct size air conditioner for my house. It turned out my house could use a smaller unit than I had previously. All the other companies just looked at the unit I had previously.
The representative, Casey Hilbelink explained the products and why he suggested the unit he did for my home. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction.
The fact that the company puts aside money in order to cover warranties so the warranties are covered even if something happens to the company shows real integrity.
I like and am not surprised that the company has been awarded "Super Service Award Winner" 23 years in a row from Angi.
The fact that when a customer writes a review, Standard Heating and Air will donate $25 to a charity of the customer's choice shows a willingness to give back to the community.

The installers let me know what all was going on and showed me how to use my new thermostat properly. Everyone I dealt with either in person or on the phone was very helpful and professional. I really appreciated working with Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.
